3.0 out of 5 stars A pleasing album
Marie Osmond's album All in Love was released in 1988. Ten compositions are contained, and the material is in a country pop musical direction. The songwriting, musicianship, and sound quality of this piece of work are solid. Osmond has a pretty voice. My favorite track is the one in which she duets with Paul Davis, "Sweet Life." 5.0 out of 5 stars Total Osmond Greatness, February 28, 2002

My husband bought this wonderful cd as a present for me.I have been an Osmond fan since I was a child and I have started a new generation of Osmond lovers with my kids.I don't care what others say,Marie has an excellent voice and she sure proves that with these songs.I had forgotten what a powerful and sweet voice she had. This music is timeless and rates as well as the country singers today if not better.I hope the Osmond's continue to make the music so many of us like to hear. This is a must have for any country music lover.

5.0 out of 5 stars It Keeps Getting Better, January 5, 2002
This review is from: All In Love (Audio CD)
This is by far Marie's greatest work, she just keeps getting better with each album. I originally had All In Love on the vinyl LP and just ordered the CD version - I've been a fan of hers since her first album Paper Roses. In fact, as a country western band member myself, I remember Paper Roses being a song that was in my first set for the longest time. I think what I like most about Marie's songs, is that she also has this really neat raw yet refined at the same time quality about the presentation of her singing that is really appealing to me. And all of her songs are not mainstream country, either - for instance "Home Town Boy." You're going to love this album and I like the fact that Marie has "colored outside of the lines" on choosing her songs. I hope she intends to come out with another album in the near future - Marie, I'll play drums for you if you'd like!

5.0 out of 5 stars All That, September 16, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: All In Love (Audio CD)
Marie has come up with another winner after "There's No Stopping Your Heart." The title track is a killer. The song is 99% of the time. Compare her version to Crystal Gale's. (Marie come out ahead? She sure does!! That is how good the CD is.)Only one or two dud songs. The CD will keep you moving It is definately country-pop though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, January 14, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: All In Love (Audio CD)
I love this cd. There really isn't a bad song on it. "Rainin Tears" still knocks me out to this day. "All in Love" is a fabulous country song and "Sweet Life" should have been a bigger hit than it was. "My Baby's Blue Eyes" was relegated to the b-side of the first single "Without a Trace" and deserved not to be. What a beautiful song and performance. "My Hometown Boy" also is a highlight. "I'm in Love and He's in Dallas" gets this cd off to a great start and it never lets you down. It also has a classic country song title. Why this album didn't do as well as previous efforts is beyond me. It deserves to be heard! And if that isn't enough the pictures on the album cover both front and back are BEAUTIFUL!

5.0 out of 5 stars Classy collection from a classy singer, January 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: All In Love (Audio CD)
Marie has never really seemed like a "down home" type, and this album plays up to that: a big, sophisticated-sounding collection of songs that are laced with country touches. "Raining Tears," for instance, sounds more like something Sheena Easton or Kim Wilde would have recorded, but the lyrics have a warmth that reasonates with the Nashville crowd. I also like her version of Paul Davis' "Sweet Life," recorded as a duet with Davis himself. "I'm in Love and He's in Dallas" is a sweeping story song that recalls the type of songs Bobbie Gentry used to do. The album is tied together by Marie's big, warm and theatrical voice. This album is definitely worth a listen, even if it wasn't one of her more commercially-successful offerings.

Marie Osmond's album All in Love was released in 1988. Ten compositions are contained, and the material is in a country pop musical direction. The songwriting, musicianship, and sound quality of this piece of work are solid. Osmond has a pretty voice. My favorite track is the one in which she duets with Paul Davis, "Sweet Life." This well-crafted piece displays an excellent, unforgettable chorus. Another song that I enjoy is the plaintive "Without a Trace," with its rich, melancholic harmony vocals. The disc is almost 35 minutes. The CD insert does not include the song lyrics. The album cover photo of Osmond is beautiful; there is also a nice color photo of her on the back of the CD jewel case. Actually, I rate this album 3.5 stars. It is recommendable.

This review is from: All In Love (Audio CD)
All In Love is her most comercial Country CD from the 80's. Released in 1988, this includes the singles Without A Trace (#50), Sweet Life (#47) duet with Paul Davis who originally sang it, and I'm In Love And He's In Dallas (#59). The title song was worth of release as a single as well as Raining Tears and 99% Of The Time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Marie's Country Classic!, December 12, 2007
This review is from: All In Love (Audio CD)
This album was so overlooked when it was released, and was poorly promoted by her label,Capitol..the fools!
Marie Osmond has such a great voice , and can do wonders with any Country song...Period.
Marie was the youngest female singer to have a number one record, and that is because the woman has huge Talent!
Some of todays so called country stars like the over rated Carrie Underwood, or even the stale Sara Evans should take note, and get a clue from a real TOP NOTCH SINGER that Marie Osmond is, and she was doing it way before any of them!
Today's country music really SUCKS!,and that's because it's all rehashed and the newer singers have no clue what end is up when it comes to making a really good country recording.
This was such a fine recording by Marie, and should have kept her on a steady track of hits, God knows she should have been recording all through the 90's and into today with great Counrty offerings..too bad the record companies, and dissloyal, fickle country fans aren't smart enough to know a class act when they see and hear one!
Ya'll can have your Carrie, Sara,& Faith..i'll listen to Marie any day over those fly by nights!
