5.0 out of 5 stars They launched their best yet, April 9, 2008

The Phenomenauts are back to defend the Planet Earth with their brave and unique style of Rocket Roll. "For All Mankind" is easily their best work yet. They really belnd the rockabilly from "Rockets and Robots" and the new-wave synth punk from "Re-entry" together well to create some awesome, toe-tapping space tunes to remind you that Earth is the best because The Phenomenauts proudly call it their home. All the tracks are excellent, with "Make a Circuit", "Infinite Frontier", and "She'll Launch" being a few standouts. If you ever have a chance to check out a Phenomenauts mission make sure you do. This band HAS to be expierienced live. Do yourself a favor and pick this CD up today. It even comes with a sweet booklet and pin! =Science and Honor=

4.0 out of 5 stars The Continuing Mission, November 8, 2009

Not quite at the level of "Re-Entry", but that particular CD set a very high standard indeed. Nevertheless, "For All Mankind" is a high-flying and highly enjoyable set of energetic, cheeky punk rock that is not to be overlooked. My favorite song of the set is "Cyborg" which includes the classic line: "And when I turned her on, she wasn't turned on by me; I guess cyborgs can see who they want to see." So much like the Phenomenauts, defenders of free-thinking robots everywhere. "She'll Launch" is another terrific song that recognizes that space girls need the freedom to come and go as they please. Though somewhat rooted in a nostalgia for the 20th century space race, the boys are stalwart defenders of the progressive Earth we all want to go back to (when we return from vaulting through space.)

In this age of digital downloads, the Phenomenauts give us a real reason to buy the material CD. Mine came with a neat little logo pin. And the clever folding CD jacket shows that artful design need not trump functionality --(Bjork, please take notice).

Definitely a ride worth taking!

Infectious tunes, clever and funny lyrics...this CD has some of everything I love. If you are a dweeb, you will be part of mankind that loves this band in general, and this cd in particular.
