I don't normally ooze about videos - but this one is simply perfect! "Getting Dressed" All By Myself is appealing because little kids really do like repetition, cute songs and learning from other children. Although it combines real children (and not those phony actor kids - these looked like my kids' friends) and cartoons, this is not a flashy, high-tech whizzy video - this is more along the lines of classic Sesame Street - gentle, straight forward and real. This video has an old-fashioned, timeless appeal.

I bought this for my three year old (who knows how to get dressed, but likes everyone else to wait on him), and a few minutes after popping the video in, I found all four of my kids (ages 9, 7, 6 and 3) watching this! So I stayed with them to see what would hold even the big kids' attention.... It was just cute! And the silly "out-takes" at the end were charming!

This video will not appeal to most adults - why would it? And it sure won't appeal to kids that have been desensitized by alot of rough tv shows and videos. I think that this is really best for ages one thru four or so.

Real kids, simple message, no drama. I am giving this video - and the second in the series, "Taking Care of My Pet", to anyone I can think of. And I love the story of the three moms who started this company to - so cool!

My granddaughter loved watching all these children getting dressed - she started trying to put on her own shoes and clothes - she also loved the little Ladybug character - fun, upbeat music. A great show & learn video for your children/grandchildren.

Have you ever thrown up your parental hands in despair saying "But I've tried everything..." I did, and then I discovered this video and was reminded that kids learn best by watching other kids!! This video is a must-have in your library of parental teaching tools. (The kids are cute too and very real and believable.)

As a mom, aunt, and helper at a preschool, I strongly recommend this video. The children love to watch other kids and listen to Buddy, the mascot, teach them about the challenges of getting dressed "all by myself". Kids are captivated by the children on the screen, often sing with Buddy, and try to follow instructions along with the video. It is happy and colorful and make children and parents alike smile and feel good, all while teaching kids something beneficial. Plus, I think its great that it was developed by 3 moms with young children. They knew first-hand that this would be a fun way to teach children to dress "all by myself". It's a terrific video.

Our 2 1/2 year old daughter loves to watch this video over and over again. Its very helpful to show the different kids work to get dressed (and let's face it at 2-4 years old getting dressed by yourself can be quite an eventful struggle!). My daughter would clap and cheer when the kids finished! When she started dressing herself she would declare "I did it!", just like the kids on the video. Buddy the Ladybug makes the whole show light and cheerful and the video is just long enough (about 20 minutes) for a young child's attention span.

I liked watching all the kids. It made me laugh and I love the Ladybug named Buddy. I wanted to see more of Buddy. I liked the video very much. Thank you.

We got this video from a friend as a gift. It did hold my daughter's attention and she did start practicing dressing herself. She would even repeat phrases she had heard in the video. I agree with the other reviewer that it is a little repetitive and I was bored to tears with it, but it's not geared to my age group. It helped my daughter learn how to get dressed by herself which is a great thing for me.

My son got this as a present from his Nana. Boy does he love it! He's 20 months old and all he keeps asking for is to watch Buddy. He is now trying to put his own clothes on, all by himself. Definitely has this Dad's vote!

I only hope my son grows to like this video. I could not believe how BORING it is. I am now questioning if the reviews I read off of this site are real or not. I was expecting something upbeat and fun...like a Hap Palmer Baby Songs Video. This is not it. The music is not at all cathcy and it is somewhat low background music. The kids don't say a word. You just watch kid after kid get dressed with average music playing in the background. I say spend your money on something else...your kid will get dressed eventually...I did and my mom didn't have a video for me. I need to add that I did call the phone number on the back of the box and one of the mom's who made this video was willing to refund my money if my son does not grow to like the video. She was extremely nice and stood behind her product. So, I'm keeping it for now and maybe he will like it someday.
