cd is full of great texas blues, this cd is non stop blues from the opening of "cried like a baby child" to the sizzling "walked all night long" byther smith plays the blues with intensity that never lets up with every note sizzling and bending to the max. if you love in your face blues this cd is a great addition to any collection and all tracks are originals

As always, Byther Smith puts at least three stellar brooding/bleeding/beaten songs on his album; nobody does real downhearted blues better. Unfortunately, there are two short country songs on here as well; just use the program button on your CD player, that's what it's there for. All told, quite solid but just short of the standards of "Mississippi Kid" and "I'm a Mad Man."
