4.0 out of 5 stars 2 terrific songs from Janet, July 13, 2004
This review is from: All Nite (Don't Stop) / I Want You 1 (Audio CD)
What a year it's been for Janet, and I don't mean that in a good way. Her Super Bowl performance enraged the world and drew the wrath of , well, millions of people. Many considered it to be a cheap publicity stunt. Sadly, it didn't help Janet's CD sales. Damita Jo has plummeted quickly down the charts after failing to debut in the top spot. To add insult to that injury, none of these singles have dominated the charts. Considering that a Janet single usually leaves other singles in the dust on the charts, many people have turned on Janet.

Their loss. Damita Jo is a good album, and these 2 songs are some of the highlights of the album. In fact, "All Nite (Don't Stop)" is probably my favorite one on the album. It's got great beats and good vocals from Janet. It should have been the first single. "I Want You" has a sound that reminds me of the Jackson 5 in their glory days. It is a really good love song and should have been a bigger hit.

The only reason I am giving this 4 stars and not 5 is because $12.99 is too much to pay for just 2 songs. Why couldn't there have been remixes to balance it out? Still, these are 2 really good songs from Janet, and if MTV or radio wants to turn their backs on her, let them. It's their problem. These songs show that Janet is far from over.
