Happy Accident,

Amazon screwed up and sent me someone else's copy of this CD. Never heard of the band or any of their music.Damn! These guys are awesome! Great stuff-- jazzy w/a touch of international sound, a bit of reggae, a smattering of funk, and a dose of good old rock and roll. Awesome.

A BAND WITH A FUTURE,

Entrain transcends the "jam band" label with an exciting mix of styles, but the emphasis is always on percussion. They invite comparisons to Mickey Hart's recent music, early Santana and Rusted Root. "Arm Yourself With Love", complete with sitar, is one of the most vibrant and infectuous tunes of the year. The band will be doing the folk festival circuit this summer (we in the Philadelphia area get to see them twice, at Appel Farm and Bridgeton)--if they come to your hometown, try not to miss them. Their live show is more exciting than the discs.

A big step up for Entrain,
By
This review is from: All One (Audio CD)
With All One, Entrain has captured the same compelling energy that was available previously only in their live shows. The single Arm Yourself (the last track on All One) is a bit of a departure from their usual wide-ranging style and may help attract a wider audience. The other tracks blend Rock, Reggae, Ska and Zydeco to deliver an unbeatable sound. The glowing customer reviews of their previous albums are entirely justified. This one is a remarkable step up. If you live near Boston you owe it to yourself to see this band. If not, they are worth traveling to see. Or you can just buy this CD and get almost the same thing. Just turn up the volume and imagine you are listening to a live show. Entrain reawakened my interest in music. The same can happen to you.

CAN I GIVE THIS 6 STARS?,

I'm ashamed to say it took until 9 years after this CD was released to find it. I heard a cut on a local college radio station a week ago and decided to pick it up at one of the bargain-basement sites here. It is well worth 5 times what I paid for it. There isn't a weak song anywhere. If you need to find an upbeat rocker, this is it.

The true essence of the island,

Being a native of the island of Martha's Vineyard for 3 years, i could immediately notice that this local band has successfully captured the island way of life. This album in particular has an amazing way of making the listener get up and dance. I saw these guys a few times on MV, once in Plymouth, and also at the orpheum when they opened up for a band of a similar sound, Dispatch. Their live show alone should make you wanna pick up the cd. these guys really know how to have a good time. gotta buy this album

Entrain - All One,

Entrain is a fantastic group! I've been a fan since the early 90's and only seen them twice. I had summer jobs all through college and worked on the Cape and usually went to see them in Woods Hole. I recomend buying all of their CD's. Their style changes though each album which I like. I actually think Entrain is a mix between Jimmy Buffet meets Phish meets the Dead.

This band is amazing! I've seen them several times in the past couple of summers- they capture the essence of life on Martha's Vineyard. Brian Alex is such a crazy, energetic lead singer (and a great guy). The whole band puts so much energy into every performance. I have all there albums and I can't wait for more!

Hop on the Entrain,

I have Entrain's first album, and thought their potential was pretty good. Then I heard this one. Wow! They sure met their potential. Their musicianship hasn't changed any (trombome, sax, soprano sax on top of a grooving rock band, while the horn players play percussion and accordian!) but the SONGS here are very strong. Their songwriting has been perfected, and is exceptional for a band on the "jam" scene. Even Phish and the Dead don't make me sing along to every song - it's very catchy on top of all their performance strengths.

For those of you who do not know...,

For those of you who do not know "jam band" Entrain is on the brink of becoming something BIG- and this CD is just the start. They have gained their popularity in a Dave matthews-esque way- that is, playing to loyal fans through their unbelievable live shows and not selling out to record labels. Check out ALL ONE- its worth every penny.
