i picked this cd up accidently but to my surprise this one rocks hard & good. The song "better" was a huge hit. This album is a cross between 80's hair metal & 90's darker groovy sound.c'mon is a good, fast opening rocker,"needle" has good riffs.i also like "stop the world"& "sister tease"."F.R.C"is a very naughty song,u will be amused on knowing the full form of the song.honestly ,i didn't became a fan of the band but it's a decent outings by one of the lesser but talented bands.

Cop this,
By Paul Lawrence "'EJL'" (Australia) - See all my reviews

One of the few truly great Australian hard rock albums. This album launches rockin' track after rockin' track at the listener, bursting out with C'mon and putting the pedal to the metal for the duration. How this album didn't spell international success for this band is beyond me.
Highlights would include Better - a massive hit in Australia - a plaintive yet defiant tune that descends into a maelstrom of riffery, soloing and vocal meltdown by it's end. Stop the World and FRC are both stompers idally suited to your car stereo. Sister Tease is full of youthful libido, a knowing glint in it's eye and the smirk on Dave Gleesons face as he laid his vocals for this track was probably a mile wide. Blue Sashes rides a galloping riff that divebombs the listener from all angles while the rhythm section underlies Gleesons most maturely vicious rant of the album. Technically speaking this production is fine, a crisp sound helping keep things tight. And these tracks sounded just as good as you'd imagine in a club date - which The Screaming Jets proved a herculean number of times of the years. A quick flick through my reviews shows how few albums get five stars from me. But this is definitely deserving.
