Editorial Reviews

Pennywise return to their true home and return to fine mid-90s punk-rock form with All or Nothing, their incendiary 2012 collection of twelve songs. Writing with renewed passion and commitment, the legendary Hermosa Beach foursome seamlessly integrate new singer Zoli Teglas into their fearsome sonic assault, playing harder and faster than ever to deliver their best album since 1997's Full Circle.

Customer Reviews

This is a very good straight-forward punk album.

I really can't find anything wrong with it and I have been absolutley blown away by it since hearing the title track and making my way through the entire album.

This is probably one of the best Pennywise albums they've released.

When I heard that Jim left Pennywise I thought "Well, they had a great run". I figured they were either done or would find a copy-cat vocalist or someone who just wouldn't sound right...... Well, while I eat my words I will type this review. When the single "All Or Nothing" came out I listened to it for the hell of it. I felt like I got bitch slapped after listening to that song. Listened a few more times and I was AMPED up! It sounds like a brand new band. Yeah it still sounded like Pennywise from a music standpoint, but there is a new energy vocally and all around. Much like when DIO joined Black Sabbath the 1st time or when Bruce Dickinson joined Iron Maiden both times. It feels like a brand new re-energized band. I was not familiar Zoli Téglás from Ignite. I heard the whole album on YouTube and was hooked. I bought the deluxe version on Amazon this morning and set off on my 41 mile drive to work rockin' out. The band is not only keeping the momentum from the amazing "Reason To Believe" album, but seems to exceed it. This album is packed with hard hitting riffs and awesome-fist-in-the-air shout it out loud melodies. I am looking forward to what the new Pennywise does in the future. This release is one of their top albums. Welcome aboard Zoli Téglás!

This album is great! I've listened to it streaming in its entirety on KROQ's website multiple times now and it gets better every time I listen to it. The new singer is awesome although I will miss their old singer. This is definitely a must buy for all Pennywise fans and fans of awesome punk rock.

The new album "All Or Nothing" has a good sound with the new vocalist. But more than anything, it's the lyrics that grab me. Positive music, and a album that calls out for equality and change. Not a great album, but a decent head nodder.

The rebirth of Pennywise. Such a good vox that energizes the rest of the group. They weren't slouches either. You'll hear some similarity to The Offspring. All or Nothing , Revolution, Let Us Hear Your Voice. .,,, theres like two or three songs that are sorta shmoo ; Overall I'd throw out the Star Spangled Banner from the National Archives for selections off this album. Politically Conscious album with all the good flavors of Pennywise riffing and drums. Get it

I may be a little partial. I love Pennywise and have for a long time, so it's no surprise that I love the album.

Having been a huge Pennywise fan since 1992, I was a little apprehensive at the thought of anyone taking over for Jim. Zoli who has a more operatic approach to his vocal duties in Ignite was one of the last people I would have picked for the Job. I was wrong. This is an amazing album. Zoli brings it in and keeps to the more rhythmic style that is necessary for the full on drum and guitar assault that has always defined PW. It goes to show that as long as Fletcher and Byron are involved Pennywise will always be Pennywise. Revolution and Let us Hear Your Voice are 2 of my favorites, but I can listen from beginning to end and love every second.

Man, it pains me to say it but I'm kind of disappointed with this album. I'm a huge fan of both Ignite and Pennywise, particularly PWs' first four albums, and I had reservations about Zoli as the replacement singer for Jim but hoped that he might breathe new life into the band. I suppose he did, but really it's his singing that let me down. If you've never heard his band Ignite, look them up right now. The man belts out awesome lyrics and hits incredible notes (for a punk band) like a freaking maniac. In fact his singing on their last two albums, Darkest Days and a Place Called Home, is so good that it regularly gives me goosebumps. So imagine when I listen to this album and come to find that there's none of that to be found. Not only that, he actually kind of sounds like Dexter Holland on some songs. And I'm not talking about Ignition or Smash era Dexter either, more like Americana.

Anyway, that's not to say that this is bad. Don't be fooled by the knee-jerk brigade who are over reacting to the change, it's probably better than the last 2 or 3 Pennywise albums. I'm just holding out hope that Zoli is saving his Ignite voice (ahhhh, swoon/worship/wack) strictly for that band since he's apparently still in both, though I can't imagine how. If you're let down because there's no Jim Lindberg singing anymore then you're just gonna have to move along over to his new band The Black Pacific.
