This is not Black Metal!,
By Douglas J. Metalstein "DEFMETAL" (Tennessee USA) - See all my reviews

I was reading some of the reviews below or above, and I gotta tell you....this ain't Black Metal. If you want to call it someting, call it Metalcore or Hardcore Metal, hell those are the same thing when you think about it. It doesn't really matter what you call it. The only thing that matters is if it sucks or not? To me this doesn't suck. "And that's all I have to say about that."

so far all of the reviews that i have read of this band are that they are alright or that they down right suck! but in reality everyone should stop over analyzing bands like these and take them for what theyre worth granted ther are some down right sucky bands out there but these guys are not one of them, i say buy it its definitly worth having these guys are no nile, or origin, and are somewhat predictable but overall have a tight sound.

Got Its Good Points,
By Fred Rayworth (Las Vegas, NV United States) - See all my reviews

This is another CD I picked up at the Tower Records closing sale. The name implied death metal but as soon as the singer started, I realized, "oh crap, not hardcore again!" I just can't get into hardcore. We have a metal music station on TV and most of the time when I turn it on, I hear hardcore so I immediately turn it off. But, since I paid for the CD, I figured I'd give it a fair shot anyway.
Well well well... at times this reminds me of Suicidal Tendencies, and I can't exactly explain why. The music and musicianship is really quite good and I found this album full of little surprises. I am giving the three stars to the music alone. I was disappointed in the CD cover though. There is a foldout with nothing but a painting on it. It folds out into three sections but outside of some almost illegible writing on the back (of the foldout), buried in the painting, there are no lyrics, band info, or photos. The back inside cover shows images of the band members, first names only, and the credits are almost unreadable because of the color of the font. So, my rating of three stars is for some excellent music and musicianship. However, I knocked off two stars for the hardcore vocals and crappy CD cover.
