adlin & appleford all over the place,
By jahbuyaka (maui, hawaii) - See all my reviews
This review is from: All Over The Place (Audio CD)
adlin & appleford's all over the place is the long awaited follow up to their debut jaundice bitters, and what a follow up indeed!as good as jaundice bitters is, (a thanksgiving tradition in my home along with arlo guthrie and johnny cash) their sophomore effort is even better. from the opening notes of memphis to the closer under the stars, there is nothing but wholesome musical goodness inside. from the collectively clever lyrics and crafty songwriting to the clear and concise production, this be one cornucopic concoction. woman be my death just rips! E=MC2. ebb and flow stands out as the most naturally beautiful song on the disc whilst the deceptively heavy leave me where you found me, with its rumbling bassline and harmonica, is just wicked! indeed there are only two kinds of music, good and bad. music you like or don't. and i like this music. word. |
