bought this on sale new in the box (minus the manual) 2 years ago and used it happily one winter in several snows less than 6" deep and fluffy.
Oiled everything, put in sta-bil in the tank, and started it periodically 1 time every month until this summer.
now, it's sat for 5 months and today I need it and it won't start. worse yet, to get to the spark plug I have to take all of the plastic housing off and it looks like the exhaust/intake port? I'm handy with a wrench on everything from rc cars, to ford trucks and everything in between.. this doesn't make sense and it will cost more to have someone else get in to it than it is worth.
not happy, and now I find out the model/business is discontinued.
don't buy off brand products and stay away from anything from the superstores that comes in a box with "some assembly required"

Worst purchase I ever made from Amazon. Bought the snowblower in September and when I first used it in December a wheel fell off (came with wheel attached) and a tiny e-ring was lost in the snow. When I contacted seller, I was told I would have to buy a complete wheel kit. Instead, I bought some larger e-rings myself and held them on with gorilla tape. In January, while trying to start it, the choke rod pulled completely out of the machine and the snowblower would not start. It hasn't started since and I spent the rest of the winter (one of worst in history) shoveling my driveway, etc. No easy task at 73. I contacted the seller in January to find out where I may get it repaired but wasn't given any answer. I decided to wait until spring to see if I could get it going without any luck. I contacted seller again regarding replacement or refund but after several connections got no final response. Of course, returning a used snowblower to California from NH is pretty difficult. I had less than two hours use of this machine and am now going to have to pay the town to take it away with the trash.

Purchased a
5.5 HP Snow Blower
21" Clearing Path
snow blower in December. The first time we've needed to use it was yesterday. Opened the box and the included manual was for a completely different unit. Took over an hour to start and stay running. The effort of which I could have shoveled my driveway 3 times. Now the throttle cable has come loose internally and there is no way to get to it in order to reattach it without removing 20 screws. I normally don't have issue with repairing or maintaining things, but without a manual and to have to start repairing something before getting to use it for the second time... NO! Send me back my money, I'll buy one that is built to run more than once.
