I saw these guys in concert twice. One of my favorite groups. This box set contains all the albums thru the departure of Eddie Brigati. Two more Rascals' albums were released after he left. I enjoy listening to these guys all the time. So many songs here that did not make it on the radio, that you would enjoy as a fan.

An individually numbered, limited edition of 3,000 copies from Rhino Handmade. Includes two 9.5-Inch by 14.25-Inch Mini-Posters and
131 Tracks spread over 6 CDs. Includes 100-Page Booklet.

According to the Rhino web site:

"All I Really Need: The Atlantic Recordings 1965-1971 contains every Atlantic master used to create every Rascals STEREO album and every master used to create every Rascals single all in one convenient place. All eight of the Atlantic albums -- 1966's The Young Rascals, 1967's Collections and Groovin', 1968's Once Upon A Dream and Time Peace/The Rascals' Greatest Hits, 1969's Freedom Suite and See, 1971's Search And Nearness -- are in STEREO. And each of the nineteen Atlantic singles A and B-sides are presented in order of release in the original MONO or STEREO as the case may be.

The only released Atlantic masters which are NOT included in All I Really Need: The Atlantic Recordings 1965-1971 are the MONO versions of the early Atlantic albums.

One further note: In 1996, Rhino/East West, our Rhino Records affiliate in Japan, released a 7-CD 108-track collection of the recordings of The Rascals entitled The Atlantic Years. The box set Rhino Handmade has created, while, of course, containing many of the same Atlantic masters, is not the same as this Japanese box. While both of the Rhino/East West Japan box set and the Rhino Handmade box set may be properly considered kissing cousins, The East West box uses the MONO master of the The Young Rascals album, not the STEREO version we've selected, and while the East West box contains a few tracks from various Atlantic US singles, we've used every master from every Atlantic U.S. single."
