I bought this book after reading the authors Angel Tech. I have found this book to be an amazing treatise on the components of ritual. It appears the author has drwn from a number of sources, stripped all Bias dogma, and applyed years of person practice to present this work to the world. I sincerely respect this achievement mainly because I have been holding out on practicing ceremonial magick due to what I consider to be thick dogmatic process. I mean there is a little dogma, as it cannot be wholly avoided, which gears toward a jungian alchemical formula, but nothing that couldn't be avoided with the slightest effort, literally. In application I achieved results almost the moment I picked up the book. It emphasizes the need to include the body in esoteric working, and the importance of experiencing rapturous states using the body as a filter. This embodies the principals of Circuit 5 work, and provide numerous detail beyond what was covered in Angel Tech. Very good, worth picking up.

This book is a refreshing how-to manual for ritual mysticism, free from the pompous self-importance of anthropologists and the airy nonsense of most new age authors. Alli's thoughts on the nature of ritual are iconoclastic (to put it mildly), but that's why I like him: when you read a book by Alli, you're entering territory that few other (published) authors have even sighted. This book also has Alli's usual weird but entirely appropriate illustrations.

Whether or not you intend to put this book's suggestions into practice, this mind-expanding ramble through Alli's world is a lot of fun.
