5.0 out of 5 stars A Literary Police Procedural, May 6, 2007
By
Readers who enjoy Henning Mankell, Peter Lovesey and Magdalen Nabb should try John Brady. Brady's books have several things in common with these other very fine and unique writers: intense, suspenseful mysteries grounded in a sense of character and place. All Souls has the emotional impact of a Mankell with the humor of Lovesey and the sense of place that Nabb brings. In this one Minogue goes home to County Clare so Brady gets to write about both Dublin and the Irish countryside. The mystery is plausible and the characters are very well drawn. I could not recommend this book more highly.
