Jessie Turner sings with all the mystery of a woman exploring the hidden places of her psyche. Her voice is rich, sexy and compelling. Her songs on All the Sweet Things, her second album, move through a variety of styles, each one returning a new complexity to the woman within them. I love this album because I love a voice that is at once brazen and gentle, a singer who isn't satisfied casually going through well worn material, and a songwriter who isn't hemmed in by genre, but isn't pushing those boundaries merely on principle. Jesse Turner takes me somewhere I've never been, and still don't understand. For that I will always listen to her.

I accidently heard this lady off a link of her husband's band he plays drums for-Roy Rogers and the Delta Rhythm Kings. What a voice! What incredible lyrics!
