I have used this product everywhere from the Cascade mountains of Washington (while working as a Wilderness Ranger for the Forest Service) to the Everglades (as a Wilderness Instructor for Outward Bound). It has never let me down. Dressing for the bugs is always your best bet, but a little spritz of this around the neck and ankles can sure make an evening more enjoyable. Seems to be a good company too, with some of their procedes going to help environmental causes.

I bought this product after reading about it in the New York Times. Our yard is infested with Asian Tiger mosquitoes and this really keeps them at bay. Herbal Armor works as well as any DEET product we've used. Excellent product.

This was by far one of the first insect repellents I've used that works. Areas where I sprayed the repellent went untouched or bitten by insects. Areas that I happen to miss were bitten by insects. Be careful to spray and spread out manually by hand to avoid missing any spots on your skin. One thing I didn't like about this product was the smell, it was very strong and after a while nauseating.

I love the smell of this (it may be a little strong for some people) and it seems to work great. I wish the bottle came in larger sizes.

This is not a spray but a lotion. I used it on playing golf in one morning, I did not get any insect bite. However, the smell of the lotion stayed with me for over 5 hours. The smeil was pretty strong and my playing partners didn't want to get too close to me. I have not used it since.

Works well but strong smell,

This works great and I don't mind putting it on my young children. However, the smell is pretty strong, and if it gets on clothing, it stays for a while (but washes out fine). This is fine for regular clothing but I wouldn't want to get it on something that doesn't get washed regularly like a jacket.

Most effective bug spray yet for keeping off mosquitos. Yea you end up smelling like a citronella candle, but get over it.

I bought this for a trip to the Riviera Maya in Mexico last week where the mosquitoes are so abundant and aggressive they could about carry you away. I was in the open air lobby when the nasty blood suckers started attacking my ankles. I then applied this lotion and though I could see them hovering, they never bit. This was my first time trying this product and I'm now sold.THE GOOD Of course, it is deet free meaning no poisonous chemicals were spread on my skin, my body's largest organ. It worked! I didn't have one more bug bite after it's application! A little goes a long way, so though it is a little higher priced than others, a dime sized application can easily cover an area the about the size of your forearm. It doesn't pill, flake or feel oily or sticky. It rubs in clean. THE TRICKY It has a pretty strong smell of citronella accented by it's other essential oils. If your outside citronella candles don't bother you, it's likely this won't either. (It was strong enough to make us giggle about it though. Eau de bug repellant) When storing it in your luggage, its helpful to put it in a ziploc bag too. It has to be applied to all exposed skin. The smell makes mosquitoes hover until they find an open spot. Best to cover all unclothed spots so they just go away. I covered all areas, even my neck but didn't put any on my face and one of those buggers landed right on my cheek. I added a dab to each cheek though and rubbed it in and they were gone for good. This was a wise choice for us and I'm a loyal new customer.

Just as effective as Jungle Juice 98% DEET without the chemicals,

I used this product on my last trip to Tanzania after previously using Jungle Juice I purchased at REI (98% DEET). It has lemongrass and peppermint scent which I found pleasant and wears off after initial application. The spray is a little messy so I end up spraying the liquid onto my hands and rubbing it in. I highly recommend this product.

I doused myself and my son in this, and got bitten all over. I was so excited by all the positive reviews, but it did nothing to keep the mosquitoes away. It is also pretty greasy. I should mention that I live in Michigan, where mosquitoes get pretty bad in the summer. We ended going back to the DEET products, which are the only ones that work for us. :-(
