Original MONO Versions,

Sound quality is equal to that of the Rhino collection and almost the same song listing. No Notes, no chart info as the Rhino, but if you just want the music, buy it. The Stereo versions are on the Collectables C.D and sound very different from the mono

For Hank Ballard fans, basically. Includes the "Annie" songs plus their legitimate pop hits like "Finger Poppin' Time" and one of the 5 versions of Kansas City to hit the charts at the same time! Also has the original version of "The Twist" by the man who wrote it!

Another reviewer indicated this is a mono remastering, which I took as a good sign. I have a historical interest in the origins of rock 'n' roll, but this music is among the best conceived and performed I've heard from that era. Production values are good and if you're even on this page you'll likely be delighted.
