Fans of Ann Martin's website, www.allthingspaper.net, already know her for her considerable accomplishments as a writer, as a crafter of exquisitely fine quilling, for her tireless efforts to promote the work of others, and for her uncanny ability to find, and bring to the attention of her readers, anything and everything that is happening in the world of paper crafts. With her new book, the similarly named "All Things Paper," she continues that good work.

The book is divided into four sections (Home Decor, Fashion Accessories, Jewelry, and Correspondence) and contains 20 projects in total. Along with her own work, she's invited some of the artists she's featured online to contribute projects, as well. The result is a collection of beautiful, charming, and clever projects; each accompanied by bright, clear photographs and easy-to-follow directions.

The tutorials run the gamut from simple (and fast) to the stunning (if a bit more time-consuming). There is plenty here for the beginner but more accomplished crafters will also find plenty to get excited about. Best of all, there's inspiration here for every level.

The book has only just arrived but already my personal favorites include Linda Thalmann's gossamer-like paper yarn creation, Patricia Zapata's delightful garland ornament, and the author's own gorgeous filigreed jewelry projects. Given the sheer number of paper artists the author seems to know and has worked with online, I expect (hope!) this will be the first volume in a whole series of paper crafting books!

Format: Paperback
For some time, I have been an admirer of Ann Martin. With a deep store of knowledge about creative paper art and paper craft, Ann features on her blog some of the most creative artists profiled anywhere on the Web. She scouts the world virtually, bringing to bear her unerring instinct for beauty and quality.

Not only is Ann the estimable curator of others' inspired artistic creations. She herself is a designer of paper projects for books, magazines, and Websites; a creator of beautiful custom quilled marriage certificates and invitations; and the author of the recently published "All Things Paper: 20 Unique Projects from Leading Paper Crafters, Artists, and Designers" .

Ann's book reflects the care and attention she brings to everything she touches. The artists (some have been highlighted at Ann's blog) are accomplished and varied in artistic approach. The Artist Gallery and Directory at the back of the book keys the artists' photos to the project title(s) and page number(s), and, conveniently, includes the urls for the contributors' primary Websites, blogs, or shops.

Ann gathers in one place a manageable number of projects, ranging from the simple to the more complex - enough to generate and hold the interest of first-timer paper crafters as well as keep the already skilled excited about tackling something new. Anyone drawn to paper craft who is willing to move patiently through the entire collection, from easiest to most challenging project, will experience a well-deserved sense of accomplishment. . . and have a set of clever, stylish, and functional pieces to show off, too.

Ann beautifully organizes the project presentations (all were written and photographed by the original artists in their own studios) within four categories: Home Decor (e.g.

I am a long-time paper crafter specializing in quilling. The thing I am enjoying most about All Things Paper is the inspiration I have gotten to try different paper crafts. I have recently tired of quilling and am so happy to have a bevy of new ideas to try from the book. The step-by-step instructions, list of supplies needed, and photographs illustrating the techniques used make this book delightful easy to use. Highly recommended!

The projects in this book are easy to understand, the tools used for the projects are those most crafters have in their supplies, the instructions are clear and the ideas are original and fun and really intriguing. I was really anxious to jump in and start. So far, I have had success with every thing I've tried. I can't recommend this book enough. I would suggest that this would be best for a crafter with a bit of experience - at least so you might have collected enough supplies to make it easy to jump right in.

I am a huge fan of Ann Martin's blog and was so excited when I heard she was putting together a book. And Ann doesn't disappoint. Every one of the projects in this book is so unique and not like anything I've seen in other paper crafting books. The steps are easy to follow and there are lots of pictures of each project being made. They all look like so much fun, I have trouble figuring out which I want to try next!

The other cool thing is that each project features a different paper artist. I really enjoy reading the introduction of each project and learning more about what inspires each artist. So motivational! Such a fun book on so many levels.

Ann Martin originally inspired me to delve into paper crafting. The first time that I saw her paper quilled antique keys, I was hooked. I love the fact that this particular medium is so versatile! This book shows the gamut of paper creativity from jewelry, to art, to home decor. Each page is exquisitely detailed with lots of great step by step photos. You can choose an easy project for beginners, or move to the more difficult ones. It is a great book for both novice paper crafters and experts. And I learned quite a bit in the first few pages!

I highly recommend this book if you are interested in paper art. You will come away inspired!
