1.0 out of 5 stars Weak, May 20, 2009
This review is from: The All-Time Biggest Sports Jerks: And Other Goofballs, Cads, Miscreants, Reprobates, and Weirdos (Plus a Few Good Guys) (Paperback)
Pretty weak analysis of the majority of situations. One opinion of multiple events and people the write obviously has no more insight of than my grandmother who reads the newspaper as well.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poorly researched book, July 23, 2009
This review is from: The All-Time Biggest Sports Jerks: And Other Goofballs, Cads, Miscreants, Reprobates, and Weirdos (Plus a Few Good Guys) (Paperback)
Just another sports commentator trying to be bigger than the athlete a la Stephan A Smith & the idiot guy on Sports Ceneter (Stuart Scott). A failed athlete taking his sadness out on those more athletically gifted than he is.

The book sucks & is a waste of time. We all know who the jerks are in sports, why read someone else's book about them. Go outside learn a trade or something.

1.0 out of 5 stars Didn't Care for it Much, May 2, 2009
This review is from: The All-Time Biggest Sports Jerks: And Other Goofballs, Cads, Miscreants, Reprobates, and Weirdos (Plus a Few Good Guys) (Paperback)
I am astonished at what the author considers to be a 'jerk' and what he doesn't. For example he considers George Brett to be a jerk because of a one time gaffe of telling an immature story about defacating in his pants; while Deion Sanders, who has a history of childish 'jerky' behavior involving humiliating Tim McCarver by dumping ice water on him twice while he was working, trashing two time Superbowl winning coach Bill Parcell's career, and several other incidents of immature behavior - Doesn't even make a mention in this book!

He puts John Stockton in there for dirty play??? Right along with OJ Simpson?!?!?!?

To inconsistent for me.

As a sports fan I am quick to read books about sports. I enjoyed the indiviual comments about various sports figures, although I was very disappointed with Michael Freeman making fun of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. examples: pg. 58 and last paragraph pg.227
I have come to the conclusion that Michael is the "biggest jerk" in the book for that reason. Also, some of the language was unnecessary and offensive.
