not the most complete anthology,

This review is from: The Hollies - All Time Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
I've always loved the Hollies, but if you want a more complete sample of their oeuvre (including several major British hits that were not released in the U.S.), try the "20 Golden Greats" cd.

Steering you to their Best ALbum,

This is fine and all, but their best collection is the Greatest Hits (Epic). WIth King MIdas and a few others, it is so much better and the order of the songs is more interesting. This is good, but why not have the best (that you thought you were getting)

One of the best rock band that survives many changes,

Hollies is one of the band that survived the changes of line-up. The early line-up includes Hall of famed, Graham Nash who played rhytm guitar and provided high harmony for Hollies. This line-up is my most favorite and perhaps the most famous. During the early years Hollies made several hits like Bus Stop, Just One Look, and On the Carousel. The Hollies didn't break up after Graham Nash and Lead Singer, Allan Clarke left the groups. They continued to make some hit like Long Cool Woman music in 70's

All the groups that came out in the 60's,The Hollies are still played on the radio. From there beutifull ballads,"The Air that I Breathe,"to one of the greatest rock and roll songs ever,"Long Cool Women." I had my first reck when I was in high school, and this song was playing. I still can't get enough of this classic. One of the greatest guitar rifs ever. The Hollies didn't stand still with there music, they grew from "Carrie Ann" to the beutifull,"He Ain't Heavy,He's my brother." The Hollies have put there mark in Rock and Roll Music.

It is a good colection of Hollies music. It has "Bus Stop" and "Carrie Anne" but the song it's really missing is "Listen to me"

The opening guitar sequence in Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress is more than worth the price of the whole CD!
