4.0 out of 5 stars Southside after an EPIC adventure remains a solid performer
Granted, most people are partial to his short-lived era with Epic Records(1976-78), Southside continues to give it his all for the loyal fans who have stuck with him . I enjoy this CD very much because these are the songs that showed how well Billy Rush & Southside wrote together with the last 3 songs reuniting Johnny with Steven Van Zant to complete the circle. 3.0 out of 5 stars Could Have Been Better
OK compilation from a very uneven peiod. Could have been much much better with better selections (Security) and more selections from Better Days (his best album besides Hearts of Stone). Trash It Up has to be the very worst song ever and completely ruins the album!

The only reason I didn't give this comp a 5 star rating is because the omissions are too many & the song selections included are not necessarily the most representative of Southside's body of work during this 12 year period. Perhaps a 2 disc set would've set the record straight. I can't argue with South's version of "New Coat Of Paint"(wonderful Tom Waits composition) but omitting "New Romeo", "Under The Sun", "Love Is The Drug" & live material from his REACH UP & TOUCH THE SKY made for an uneven document of Southside's legacy. If Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes were only a "bar band" as many critics have suggested then let the record stand that they were the "best damn bar band in the land." This is still a great CD but to the uninitiated there remains little to choose from in print. Buy this CD then head straight to your used vinyl store to complete your collection. Happy hunting!

5.0 out of 5 stars Play it Loud in Your Car, June 12, 2002
This review is from: All I Want Is Everything: The Best Of Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes (Audio CD)
Trouble getting up and going to work? Well, pop this "gutsy power horns little masterpiece" into your car CD player and turn up the volume. I still gets "goosebumps". Only problem is you'll probably end up heading for the Jersey shore, than getting to work. And, "PARIS" will put a tear in your eye and smile in your heart - WOW. I have every SSJ & JUKES but still play this gem the most. Gee, I can't wait to go to work in the morning!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Of The Post-Epic Years, But Missing The Live Stuff, September 25, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: All I Want Is Everything: The Best Of Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes (Audio CD)
This collection contains much of the best music that Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes recorded after leaving Epic Records. You can't argue with most of the first seven songs, "Walk Away Renee", and the last three cuts, but where's "New Romeo", "Coming Back", and the live material from REACH UP AND TOUCH THE SKY? Still, this makes a greataddition to any serious old-school rock catalog.
