Don't Panic, You Can Learn Finances for Your NPO,

You work at a non-profit, so it is almost guaranteed your work is very important to you.
You can increase the probability that the long term effects of your work are effective if your organization's finances are strong. Or your efforts can run your organization into the ground. Do the former! Understand and use a Profit and Loss Statement, a Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Analysis and other tools. You do not need to be an account or be a pro at spreadsheets, you just need to read and follow this book. I have not background in finance, but by using this book, I can keep up with our bookkeeper, our cpa, our board treasurer - sometimes I am even slightly ahead of them. Especially now, we need to financially protect our organizations and Kenny Stevens can help us all. |
