Editorial Reviews

From the Inside Flap

Some children’s picture books tell wonderful stories. Some teach valuable spiritual lessons. Still others are great entertainment. But rarely do you find one excellent children’s book that entertains the child with an unforgettable story, yet teaches exceptional spiritual lessons. Frank Peretti’s All is Well is one of those rare finds.

Young readers will readily identify with little Daniel in this classic tale, and learn several important life lessons:

· God answers our prayers

· God loves us and wants to help us

· When we’re in need, good neighbors are friends indeed

· Answers to our problems often come in unique and surprising ways

· Because Jesus came to earth, all is well, even when times are tough

· Christmas happens every day in the hearts of God’s children, not just once a year

Through All is Well, author Frank Peretti gently reminds each of us that through the provision of our loving God and the kindness and compassion of others, we can celebrate the joy of Christmas all year long, no matter what our circumstances are. It’s refreshing lesson for all children–both young and old. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

About the Author

Often referred to as the father of the Christian fiction genre, Frank Peretti first came to national attention as the author of the spiritual warfare thriller This Present Darkness. Since that time, he’s sold more than 8 million books, including his recent autobiographical The Wounded Spirit, and his juvenile fiction series, The Cooper Kids Adventure Series and Hangman’s Curse: The Veritas Project.

A gifted storyteller form his childhood, Frank gained experience as both a musician and screen writer before returning to his first love and completing This Present Darkness in 1988. His other adult fiction works include Piercing the Darkness, The Prophet, The Oath, and The Visitation. All is Well is his first children’s picture book.

Frank and his wife of 30 years, Barbara, reside in the Pacific Northwest, where Frank enjoys writing, carpentry, banjo playing, and being a licensed pilot, among his many hobbies. He also travels around the country, speaking to youth groups and churches about difficult childhood experiences and the lessons to be learned, as told in The Wounded Spirit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, hopeful, deeply touching...., April 9, 2008
I don't think that I could possibly have been so moved by this had I not known poverty, and a good deal of it, from time to time. Peretti knows (as do many who have known the Lord for a long while) that the journey towards compassion is actually a very tough one, join the Lords' school and you may be in for the equivalent of boot camp in the Marine Corps!

Superficially a tale about a little girl who does her absolute level best to rescue her Mum from bills that can't be paid, in fact this is a extremely effective story about hope, and the faithfulness of God. That's a subject which is profound, bears telling as many times as you like anyhow, and very apt for times we now face. The amazing truth is that God is WITH us, and has promised NOT to desert us. Even as I'm writing this, I remember so much about how prayer has changed our lives, given us hope, and that the words of those promises so long ago helped us when the cupboards were empty.

And God doesn't fail. The story shows how the grace of God ignites compassion and imagination, hits the decks and everyone gets somehow changed; thats the way He is; you can't get of the way fast enough!

Well, it's just wonderful, that all I can say.

5.0 out of 5 stars All is Well with Daniel, March 9, 2006
Tremendous story to produce hope in the worst of circumstances. In the story with Daniel, Ruth's son, I think he encourages children to get involved with their family instead of just sitting around watching TV. Daniel's love for his mother shows in his efforts to make her happy. It is a weighty book that discusses tough times. In the end, well lets just say it's a treasure worth finding. The illustrations are photo quality. Terrific book I would highly recommend it to anyone (including a parent) who needs inspiration.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for teaching about sharingwith/loving others, December 5, 2003

This book is so touching that it makes me cry while I read it to my daughters. It really helps children (and adults too) think about how important it is to share with others. It shows that Christmas isn't just about getting gifts! And, we can share with others all year long. We added it to our home library!
