4.0 out of 5 stars Great for Hagar fans!
Good stuff! Diamond Head's fifth studio album has more of a 70s American biker rock feel than a revival of the NWOBHM sound. This sounds a lot like Montorse's 1973 s/t debut- new singer Nick Tart deffinately recalls a young Sammy Hagar! Their best since "Lighning To the Nations" (although with guitarist Brian Tatler the only original member I would hardly call this a...

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
I special ordered this CD from DH's website, along with a shirt, "Still F... Evil". Shirt looked awesome! And I was all pumped to crack open and check out the new material. I loved the cover artwork on the new CD. DH, graphically, look cool as ever.

I special ordered this CD from DH's website, along with a shirt, "Still F... Evil". Shirt looked awesome! And I was all pumped to crack open and check out the new material. I loved the cover artwork on the new CD. DH, graphically, look cool as ever.

Then I listened to the CD. Track after track, I was just waiting for a standout song. And, sadly, never found one through all twelve.

Tracks 2."Give It To Me", 5."Alimony", 7."Broken Pieces", 8."All Will Be Revealed", and 12."Muddy Waters" were the best I found. And while those 5 were pretty good, they were just that... "Pretty good".

Nothing on this CD reminds me of "Lightning to the Nations". The songs don't sound as Evil, the writing isn't as strong or fierce. It's very hard to bridge the 2 bands. In fact, they are so different I think they shouldn't go under the Diamond Head name. The styles have just changed too much over the years.

Maybe the next few releases will improve. The guitar sounds pretty good; however, the drums are pretty weak and uninspiring. Vocals are good, (he sounds a little like Brian Howe, who replaced Paul Rodgers of Bad Company for a couple of CDs), but the song writing is pretty weak. Just, well, something is missing. No awesome tracks, just average or sub-par. Nothing at all like "Sucking My Love, Streets of Gold, Am I Evil, It's Electric, Helpless, Shoot Out the Lights..."

Just an average CD. I wish it were more, and I still have faith in Diamond Head, but things will need to improve quite a bit for me to really believe the band I loved so much is really back.

3.0 out of 5 stars Mediocre with Terrible Sound Quality, December 24, 2011

I really don't care for Nick Tart, but I could let that go if the songs were good. Unfortunately, that's not the case since this is a whole album of filler. The worst part is that it sounds like crappy MP3 files with an extremely low bit rate. Come on, now... I can't be the only person to notice this.

A reunited Diamond Head began a resurgence in the early 2000's behind Brian Tatler's well reknowned guitar work, Sean Harris' great vocals, on drum duty since the early 90's was Carl Wilcox, joining the long running trio was Eddie Moohan on bass. The reunited group hit the states for their first ever U.S. Show at the New Jersey Metalfest in 2002. Following a successful tour which included acoustical shows and their normal set of barnstormers Diamond Head returned to the studio. The subsequent recorded album has never seen the light of day as the band again imploded. So yes there is a unreleased Diamond Head recording with Sean on vocals.

Alas we find ourselves in 2005. Sean Harris sadly departed, with Brian the only remaining original member. Diamond Head as we knew and loved them is dead. Or are they? Long running bandmates Karl Wilcox and Eddie Moohan remaining intact. Enter new lead singer Nick Tart. This new incarnation of Diamond Head hits the studio and returns with All Will Be Revealed.

For those of you that have read that this album is horrible or poor don't believe it, they are dead wrong. Yes, its very different from other Diamond Head offerings and if you are looking for vintage Diamond Head you wont find it here with the exception of the previous track (Lost At Sea) I mentioned. Honestly its a different band without Sean Harris's signature vocals but that does not mean the cd is a stinker. I liked the cd instantly and found great grooves and bombast, along with strong song writing, and musicianship.

The resulting CD is an updated rock effort with varied approaches and arrangements. Overall this CD rates a solid four stars. I rated it five here because it has unfairly been rated poorly.

There are five very strong tracks on this CD. Mine all Mine, Give It To Me, Nightmare, and Fallen Angel are great tunes which stand out. The real gem, which compares to the all time Diamond Head tunes, is Lost at Sea. Lost at Sea is an epic with signature changing tempo's, great vocals and reminds me of vintage Diamond Head. The only track that could be construed as filler is Dead or Living and this tune doesn't suck but clearly is the weakest track on the CD.

The band made one mistake with this effort and that was leaking out unpolished copies of this CD. I had one of those and can tell you this is the polished product. I did not think I could be sold on a Diamond Head without Sean Harris. I am. Diamond Head is dead. LONG LIVE DIAMOND HEAD.
