Same system of snap-in ink cartridges (two- one black, one for the three colors), recommend you buy the XL size for more capacity.

This replaced my old Epson. Same system of snap-in ink cartridges (two- one black, one for the three colors), recommend you buy the XL size for more capacity. Wireless, so you can move it anywhere. I like the excellent legibility when scanning and choices of Email, computer, memory card or USB drive.
Only drawbacks I see is the small paper tray and lack of sheet feeder for scanning multiple sheets together.
>>>(Six months later)
I have since brought other laptops into my network on temporary basis, and they can easily configure for this HP. And on the printer touchscreen, it shows the temporary PCs as available destinations for scan jobs. When choices are made, the scan appears on the PC as a new file in Explorer named 'Scan0001.xxx' -- pictures in PCX, TIFF, & documents in TIF, or PDF. Rename it, move to your destination folder and click Save. Amazing!
It has not jammed, and sends error codes to the sending PC when out of paper or ink.
I have therefore raised my review to five stars.

What a great all in one printer. Easy setup, and so nice to print from
my iPad or iPhone with it. I've had a few printers, and none of them
were as nice as this one. {HP makes the best printers} I needed a printer
right away, so I didn't purchase mine from Amazon. I did get mine a little
cheaper then here, but this product is well worth the money!

This printer is indeed the best printer I've owned. I had a Hp 4480 printer that served me well but wanted something that wasn't tethered to my iMac. The Envy 120 is not only a very nice looking printer but is a very quiet and smooth operating device. I like the interface and the see through lid is something I've never seen before on a printer... so cool. You can see your document through the lid to assure it's placed properly. This printer is situated in my entertainment center and looks like a high end DVD player. I got mine for a better price but I can't recommend it enough. It's used for personal home use and is everything I could of hoped for. I can't comment on the ink use yet, but will eventually make another comment in the future on that one.

Small, & easy to set up wireless, dependable, looks scifi awesome!! I have had 2 previous wireless printers from Cannon, & Epson. The Cannon didn't last long as it was completely unreliable. The Epson Artisan ($280) lasted 2 years, but was ttoooootally impossible to set up wirelessly.

This HP is extremely easy to set up wirelessly, & the on computer screen interface is so simple, a caveman can use it! This is by far the best & easiest to operate copy/printer/scanner combo I've owned yet. & it looks like a futuristic science fiction component, with it's elegant glass top, on-unit digital screen, & small compact size! Plus I have not changed the ink cartridges yet, as I've owned this wonderful device for 7 months now!! It doesn't print as fast as I would like, but the other plus's FAR out weigh that 1 minus!!

This is a MUST OWN device for the home office of those who also enjoy elegance in their professionally used electronic gadgets!!!!!! JW...
