A compelling sequel to The Eternal Ones, August 17, 2011
This review is from: All You Desire (Eternal Ones) (Hardcover)
Haven Moore and Iain Morrow thought they could escape the Ouroboros Society and everything else by running away to Rome. They're happy enough, even when Haven starts to suspect that they are being watched and followed. But their bubble of bliss is finally burst when Haven finds out that her best friend Beau has gone missing. There's nothing that Haven wouldn't do for Beau, so she and Iain return to New York City to begin their search despite the very real danger posed by their close proximity to the Ouroboros Society's headquarters. Haven knows that the search won't be easy, but she's still not completely prepared for being thrust back into the deadly politics of the Eternal Ones. Confronted with enemies new and old, Haven will have her trust tested, her feelings challenged, and her sense of self questioned until she no longer knows what kind of happiness she really wants--in this life or the next.
It seems strange that after reading All You Desire, I had almost forgotten that I had not been the biggest champion of its prequel The Eternal Ones because I found All You Desire to be an absolutely enthralling read. Miller keeps readers hooked by a stream of surprises which leads readers to trust one character and then doubt that same character the next. I tend to get annoyed when I feel that there's too much conflict of who's the good or bad guy, but Miller manages to make each new assumption compelling especially when seen from the bigger picture of the deception of limited perception. Additionally, though the good guy/bad guy dilemma has a relatively short plotline for most of the story's characters, I didn't feel like things just kept happening because Miller maintained several overarching goals throughout the novel. With realistic character development in response to believable problems and many other interesting complications, All You Desire shows marked improvement over my early impressions of its prequel The Eternal Ones.
Fans of The Eternal Ones will not want to miss its sequel in All You Desire. This novel may also be enjoyed by fans of Fallen by Lauren Kate, the Blue Bloods series, and Reincarnation by Suzanne Weyn.

Slow to get into but it picks up, January 16, 2012
This review is from: All You Desire (Eternal Ones) (Hardcover)
This is another one of those books that I nought as soon as I saw it in stores but then let it sit on my TBR pile for months until finally giving it a chance. I had loved The Eternal Ones and had hoped that there would be a sequel yet when I bought the same sequal I had hoped for I was so worried it would let me down that I read every other book I had until finally I decided to give it a chance. You know, I really need to stop doing that. Not once have I done that and been let down by the book. In The Eternal Ones Haven Moore found out that she was not the freak she was led to believe she was for the first 17 years of her life. She makes a trip to New York and finds the Ouroboros Society and the revelation that the dreams and memories she has had her whole life are not cause by insanity but because she is an Eternal One, a soul that is reincarnated again and again for centuries. In New York she also finds her soul mate, Iain, along with the leader of the Ouroboros Society, a man named Adam who has loved Haven through lifetime after lifetime but never being able to get her. Haven soon finds out that Adam's love for her has grown sinister and Iain and Haven fight for their lives against all odds. From Lost in YA Wonderland
In All You Desire we join Haven and Iain in Rome enjoying the lifetime that Adam has promised to leave Haven alone. But when she gets word that her best friend Beau has gone missing she forgets all the arguments and hops on a plane to New York to try to save her best friend. She meets a group of women called The Horae who tell Haven they can help her remember her past life when Beau was her brother and that things she may see in that life could help her find Beau today. In exchange for their help though, Haven has to play her way back into Adam's life, pretending to fall in love with him and putting both her and Iain's life in danger. But Haven will do anything to save Beau and soon she finds that not everything is as it seems. The entire idea of past lives is fascinating to me and that's the main reason why I loved The Eternal Ones. I worried that All You Desire would focus more on Haven and Iain's life together and not so much on their past lives but I was pleasantly surprised when Haven's past lives played a key part of this novel. As soon as she started remembering more and more I was drawn in and enraptured. For those have read The Eternal Ones, so many things have changed since the events in that book and it kept me intrigued as I kept guessing what would happen next. The ending goes either way with this one. There could be a sequel or there may not be. I, for one, am hoping for another Eternal Ones novel and you can bet that when it comes out I will read it right away instead of waiting months and months like I did this time.

Mixed emotions, January 2, 2012
This review is from: All You Desire (Eternal Ones) (Hardcover)
Let me by start saying that I love the first book!! I did a lot of sighing ;)
This is the second novel in the series and I really enjoyed it. However, the only thing downside was the romance between the two leads, Haven and Iain. It was good but for some reason I started to love Adam, the antagonist in the first book whom I absolutely hated because of the wierd and mean things he was trying to do the protagonist and the male lead. Adam played a different role in this book and Haven was having more interactions with him than Iain (my opinion of Adam changed a little.) Dont get me wrong, I still thought there was romance between the leads and love them both. But all in all I recommend this book to everyone and I personally really enjoyed it!! Read it and judge for yourself. :)
