5.0 out of 5 stars The Remixes Are "All For You"!!!, April 28, 2001
This review is from: All for You (Audio CD)
It's been a while since Janet's last single "Doesn't Really Matter" and after hearing those remixes, I knew Janet wouldn't let me down with the "All For You" remixes. These remixes are all great and originals of there own, they are all dance friendly just like that of the orignal.

Track Listing:

1.) All For You (Radio Edit) 4:24 = This is the radio version and unfortunately it doesn't have the dance break like that of the video version that is on the US single. This single is just as hot without the dance break as it is with it.

2.) All For You (Dj Quik Remix) 4:29 = This remix is drenced with great beats it hard to explain what it has to offer. The beginning of this remix starts out somewhat like that of the original. After the "edit" part the beat changes into like a hard core kind of rock beat but changes once again later on. As the song progresses the beat slows down from the rock feel and becomes more R&B-ish.

3.) All For You (Thunderpuss Club Mix) 10:28 = This remix is interesting since I'm a fan of Thunderpuss's work I was expecting this excellent remix from them. I consider this remix as a ten minute journey and usually I am not fond of long remixes however the beat constantly changes and never lets you get board. The beggining of this remix starts out like any other dance track but than changes into a fierce more original beat. As this journey continues Janet's voice is speeded up behind a kind of latin beat. After the latin beats it goes into a more somewhat of a light-dark beat and that beat flows throughout the rest of the remix. Thunderpuss does some funky moves with Janet's voice that you can't hate against behind a darker beat as the song continues a bit after the middle section. I think this remix will be aprreciated by all the peeps in the club.

4.) All For You (Rock Mix) 7:20 = This remix is not exactly rock but I guess that referes to the hardcore beats. This remix adds effects to Janets voice and it sounds smooth, its like that of Cher's Believe. This is actually my favorite remix on this single and its more complex than the others.

5.) All For You (Top Heavy Remix) 4:06 = This remix has a lot of R&B beats to it. Janets voice is slowed down and the beat is less danceable but its still a hot remix.

As Janet tops the charts she'll be in our hearts and here we shall be feelin' her music. These remixes are hot and the "All For You"!!!

A Kid's Review

This was the best single of 2001 number 1 on the billboard hot 100 radio air play.
1.Radio Edit 4:24 This is the album verison but shorter
2.Dj Quik Remix 4:29 This has a good beat that I really like it has a kind of rock mix to it.
3.Thunderpuss Club Mix 10:28 I love this remix very dance able the Thunderpuss team did a very good job.
4.Rock Mix 7:20 This does not have a rock feel to it at all more a robot sound to it I don't care for it at all.
5. Top Heavy Remix 4:06 More of a R&B sound to it very slow I think its o.k
All in all its a great single

5.0 out of 5 stars Janet - Remixed by Thunderpuss, June 23, 2002
By
This review is from: All for You (Audio CD)
Miss Jackson returned to the scene with her first single off her new album, "All for You." But in order to truly make a splash on the dancefloor, she needed to hook up with remixers who were up to task in re-introducing Janet to club America. Chris Cox and Barry Harris of Thunderpuss stepped up to the plate, and the end result will leave you breathless. They give the Jam and Lewis-produced single a remix that has tons of energy and life. This remix, as I understand, is not available domestically on CD. You can only get it on import. Therefore, you should make the investment by getting this fine remix. Don't be the last to hear it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Song, March 15, 2002
By
This review is from: All for You (Audio CD)
This is a great, great title track for the All For You Album. Janet chose a very good song for her first release (excluding Doesn't Really Matter) from the cd. The remixes for the song are pretty good, and you'll most likely enjoy them if you enjoy the original -- I did. But the All For You CD is a great buy if you want the song, and then a little variety too. Either way -- or get both :-) -- you'll end up great songs.

5.0 out of 5 stars All For You Remixes, May 20, 2001
This review is from: All for You (Audio CD)
This is the import single, with 5 remixes:

1. All For You (Radio Edit) (4:24) 2. All For You (DJ Quik Remix) (4:29) 3. All For You (Thunderpuss Club Mix) (10:28) 4. All For You (Rock Mix) (7:20) 5. All For You (Top Heavy Remix) (4:06)

This is a great single for your collection, its worth the extra money. The DJ Quik Remix and Rock Mix are my favorites, they are slightly more edgier sounding with heavier beats, great to dance with. The Thunderpuss Club Mix is nice, I'm not a huge fan of long remixes but this one is good. The Top Heavy Remix is great as well. If you like All For You, this is for you because the remixes are great, this is one of her best maxi singles to date.

4.0 out of 5 stars ALL 4 YOU - 5 Track Maxi Single Review, April 26, 2001

KEDS (OKLAHOMA CITY, OK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: All for You (Audio CD)
It's a shame this cd is not available in the States. The first maxi single released from her seventh studio album featuring all new materials isn't overtly great, but it's not at all bad either. The first remix (aside from the radio edit) is track number two - the DJ Quick Remix. DJ Quick did a fine job allowing the song to keep it's funky, up-tempo groove while sounding somewhat different than the original. The final track (track 5 - Top Heavy Remix)is similar to the DJ Quick Remix, in that it also has a laid back, R&B-type club feel. However, the Top Heavy Mix is a little more relaxed, with the tempo of vocals slowed down just a bit. The remix I most looked forward to was the Thunderpuss Club Mix. (track 3.) While it is a good remix, it's nearly as good as I thought it would. For the first few minutes or so, it's seems to be Janet's sultry vocals laid over simplistic club beat. I've heard much better remixes by Thunderpuss before! The song does, however, get more interesting towards the middle; especially when they start altering janet's vocals. The best remix on the single by far is Track 4 - the Rock Remix which is remixed by none other than Rockwilder. This remix is as incredibly funky, extremely danceable mix that makes the single worth buying! Let's hope that Rockwilder will lend his touch to future single's from Miss Jackson.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great song, mediocre remix, August 2, 2001

I love this song. It has to be one of Janets best, I just want to get up and move to its great beat and sexy lyrics. This is one of the few singles I can find anywhere so it was a good purchase, a great find.

The remixes leave something to be desired. I enjoy remixes that mix up the orginal beat and lyrics and dont change too much of the original versions elements. The remixes here are sometimes very different from the song and I usually enjoy Thunderpuss remixes, but this one seemed lacking. Maybe it is just me, but I think there could be better remixes made of this song then are offered here. It is still worthy of a purchase, a darn good CD overall.
