The Brothers Wickham do it again!, November 22, 2001

Fans of Uncle Tupelo should love this record, which combines the punchy guitars of the best seventies rock with slow country ballads that would make Gram Parsons proud. They're a great live band too, and I would heartily recommend this record.

Second Time's a Charmer, November 21, 2002
This review is from: All in Your Head (Audio CD)
Missouri alt-country band Hadacol follows up their excellent debut album "Better Than This," with a strong sophomore effort. "All in Your Head" is a tad less rocking and more country oriented than its predecessor, but the songwriting is still strong and at times quite amusing. The vocal harmonies of the Wickham brothers, who lead the band, sets their sound apart from many other similar artists.
The best songs on the album include the truly funny and downright Buddy Holly-ish "Airplane Song" as well as "Dump Truck," which sonically and lyrically is similar to "Big Tornado" from the debut. Other standout cuts include the downcast ballad "Already Broken," the nostalgic "Another Day," "Gerald Ford" (featuring the humorous refrain, "I was standing in the corner, feeling like Gerald Ford") the relatively rocking "Watch it Burn" and the sweet "Someday." Some of the other tracks are less successful, but there is not a clunker in the mix.
Overall, no sophomore slump from this fine group of alternative country rockers.
