This review is from: All right, everybody off the planet!: A novel (Hardcover)
Its been years since I read this book, but it was always one that stuck with me. Another planet wants to visit us, but has seen what we do to aliens on TV. They decide to send an agent to spread the word that they are nice guys. I won't give away any more details than that, but this is a clever book, and really fun to read. The solution to the puzzle of the "message from space" was so simple, it completely escaped me, and I'm usually pretty good with puzzles. If you like off-the-wall sci-fi, you'll really like this. And it features the best computer in all of sci-fi. Makes HAL look like a toaster. |
