Glorious pop incantations from this tribe of brave cultural terrorists. This was as close as these adepts ever got to commercial sucess, and believe me, they weren't ever very close. Contains 2 of my all-time fave PTV tracks: the best mix going of "Godstar", and the gorgeous "Just Like Arcadia", featuring backing vocals by Rose McDowall of STRAWBERRY SWITCHBLADE. These alone make a strong case for guitarist Alex Fergusson as thee great lost songwriter of the period (check out his '90s CDs for more evidence of his genius). 'Course, this CD has also got some wild Genesis P-Orridge mindblowers too, like the howling mad "Southern Comfort" & the kreepy "Starlit Mire." Oh and dig the brain-damaged dub of "Thee Dweller"! AWWWOOOO! My only complaint is Cleopatra Records shoulda added on the MAGICKAL MYSTERY D-TOUR EP cuts (which includes their other hyperdelic hits, "Roman P." & "Good Vibrations") instead of the alternate versions they tacked on instead. But hey I'll take what I can get when it comes to PTV. Get it and g-g-g-o.
