I normally would hesitate to offer criticism after only listening to the previews of a collection like this, but as a whole I loved it. This is an album that I will enjoy listening to, and I plan to keep it.

I didn't love the sound of the piano in the Scherzo (Track No. 2), but this is because I am hard to please on piano recordings. To me the sound had a certain flatness, which I attribute to the way it was recorded and engineered. This being said, I consider the quality of the performance and of the piece itself to be outstanding. This is the only part of these previews about which I have a negative opinion. The rest of it is pure gold. EDIT: After I finished the downloading I went back and listened to the beginning of the piece and I am astounded at the brilliance and clarity of this recording. In analyzing why my opinion changed so much, I think it must be because of the way Amazon presents the samples. I suspect that there is a great difference in bit rate between what I heard on line and what I heard from my computer.

Until I listen to the album as a whole I can only point out a few particulars. Track No. 4 really grabbed my attention. If I could play like this I would call myself a real guitar player. Tracks 1 and 10 both start with almost an eerie dissonance, creating a sense of mystery which makes me want to come back and listen to the entire recordings.

Track No. 3 is Pavarotti, and I would have downloaded the whole album just to get this recording. It sounds to me like this is a live recording rather than a studio session, and perhaps this accounts for the less than wonderful sound of the strings at the beginning of the piece. Again, I'm criticizing the sound of the recording, not the quality of the performance.

I have added my favorite selections to my iPod and my Kindle. A very nice selection of classical music, if, like me, you don't mind getting one movement instead of the entire work (symphony, concerto, etc). This free sampler might be an excellent way to introduce classical music to children, or as background music.

The Allegro Classical Sprin 2011 Sampler is a wonderful sample of classical music. The first trac is Bells Remmebered and features handbells. It is lovely. The entire album is classical and the music is beautiful. If you love classical music this download is for you. I have it on my Kindle and really enjoy listening to it.

I truly recommend this entire album. I had a couple of songs from it and then decided to download the entire album and I don't regret it at all. Give it a try and hear great music, some known . And some not.

Not much else to say, scrolled through the tracks quickly so this isn't a useful review. If you get any music free it's worth a listen right?

Download did not work. Download did not work. Download did not work. Download did not work. Download did not work.

Really need to get a review system not related to the product itself.

If you like your classical in small bites, this is a good album to chew on. My favorite title of the lot is the poetic "Oscuro Abismo de Llanto Ternura", a modernistic piece that almost doesn't fit into the rest of the offerings. The only piece I can't listen to much of is "And Bells Remembered". Just a little bell ringing is plenty for me because after a minute or two, it starts making my ears ring.

The big draw, I suspect, of this album is Pavarotti's "La Donna E Mobile". That's what got me interested to begin with, and the album is worth downloading just for that.
