This sling is too short for the home defense model 500. At maximum extension, it will barely reach from the swivel mount on the magazine tube to the one on the stock. It does come apart easily, and if you make it a non-adjustable (removing the center buckle) loop, it just about the right length. The stud and cap aren't really needed, since some models are already equipped with them, but I don't mind having extra parts.

It's just OK. Not really happy with it but not unhappy enough to return it.

Documentation is poor, Sling is way too short for a Mossberg 500A shotgun. Swivels work just fine. I'll be buying a new sling to replace the short one but it will work until then.
