This product is exactly as described. I put it on the stock of my Marlin 30-30. It has been an excellent accessory. I gave it four stars because while it is built well, it is obvious it will not last more than three or four seasons. For the price, you can't beat it.

Expected this to have only a few slots, but holds 9 shells. Holds them tight, i have a fairly large stock on my Mosin, just barely fits, a little loose on the back, but didn't expect a perfect fit. Good product

Very nice item. It holds cartridges tight to the stock, and the elastic band itself is very thick and will not slide around on the stock unless you try to move it. A cheap and effective solution for ammo carrying.

I bought the allen rifle cartridge holder for my Marlin 336W and it fits and works like it should, the only negative thing i can say about it is that it does not have a hole for the swivel studs on my rifle but another than that its an awesome item

this brand has a better fit than its uncle mike's counterpart. it fits better on bigger buttstocks and the meterial is more flexible. i had an easy time installing it on my rifle(s).

I have to admit, I am very pleased with this buttstock holder. Really looks great and is of fine construction.
Some reviewers mentioned that it wouldn't last long and this puzzles me a bit. Maybe if they are constantly taking it off and putting it on their heads then putting it back on their gun, they might have some quality issues.
If you treat your equipment the way it is meant to be treated this will last for a very long time. The fit is perfect and holds .308 rounds perfectly!

With a little bit of convincing, it slid right on the end of my Mosin 91/30. Well worth the money that I paid for it. Very comfortable, doesn't interfere with shooting, and rounds are snug and secure but not a pain to remove. Saw a similar product at a big box retailer the other day for $15.00. Highly recommend.

BUTTSTOCK CARTRIDGE HOLDER WORKS GREAT. VERY GOOD FIT, AND HOLDS CARTRIDGES GOOD AND TIGHT. NO FEAR OF LOOSING ANY. VERY HANDY PRODUCT.

This is another quality product from Allen company. This is better suited for larger calibers such as .223, .308, and 30-06. I use 7.62x39 and have to leave them sticking out halfway so I can grab them but thats nothing against the product, its my fault for using stubby ammo. It still holds them nice and snug anyway.

As with other buyers I initially had to cut a small opening for my sling loop, but as I was attaching this to an AK-47, I realized that I could just remove the buttstock and slip it over the small end. Problem solved. Note that the 7.62X39mm ammo is not long enough to protrude completely through the nylon cartridge loops, so I have the primer end facing up so that it is easier to grasp the individual cartridge with gloves on.
