This sling is useless, at full adjustment it's only thirty four inches long. Got it for my AK with a collapsible stock (The sling mounts are at the ejection ports and back of rear receiver) and can just barely get the sling around my shoulder or head (forget about getting it around both), when the sling is around my shoulder or head it causes the gun to press against my side or chest while I move making it uncomfortable to carry. In fact it keeps the gun so uncomfortable to carry that I took the sling off entirely, the length of the sling isn't included in the item description and for good reason, no one would buy it if it was. I contacted the company about a return and they asked if it was in the packaging, as if I can tell how long the sling is without opening it.

Like other reviewers, I bought this for a Remington 870 with the magazine extension and found it was too short. Determined to make it work for me, I spent some time studying it and discovered I could extend it by replacing the plastic rectangular link with a plastic "slide" I found at strapworks.com (item PS - 1 1/4" plastic slide in black).

If you go this route, you will have to disassemble the entire sling to make it work because none of it reassembles the same. I think it's worth it though, because it does look great over my shoulder and it is a well made sling.

I would give this five stars for materials and craftsmanship but the design, which severely limits adjustability, thus overall usefulness, makes this only 3 stars. Its just too darn short and I don't see how, with what was delivered, it could be made longer. As a previous rating mentioned, the use of a small, cheap plastic slide which could have been manufactured into the sling or shipped with it to accommodate this shortcoming would have made this item first class. I get the feeling that the manufacturer doesn't know spit about the proper use and versatility of a good sling.

Update 9/10/11:
Took Col. Lawrence "Tango"'s advice and ordered plastic slides to replace the ridiculous screwed-on attachments. Actually added 3 slides and now this sling works very well.

I wanted something simple and adjustable to carry my gun with. I didn't want padded strapps or anything fancy. This sling is easy to put on and take off (10 seconds). The swivels are not what you might think, they only swivel along the axis of the gun (up and down), not 360 degrees (right and left).

Great 1.1/4" sling for .22 Remington 597.

A good fit and great quality webbing with Remington logo. You will need to familiarize yourself on how to extend and retract tthe length of the sling.

Just buy the front and rear mounting screws and you are good to go.

A true no frills sling, just high quality nylon web, exactly what i wanted. No problem with length for a Remington 700. Really good price since it comes with swivels, just had to pick up a set of screws for woodstock and i was good to go.

bought for a christmas present for my brother in law for his remington 3006 it looks good on the all black gun and no i dont suck i got him other things

This sling is very short, mine was 32" fully extended, will NOT work as a double point sling, only works on a single point sling,
Strange figure 8 design does not allow full extension, returning, stay away from this.
