Craftsmanship is excellent. Since these are Allen Edmonds you will be able to recondition by the manufacturer so they will look like new again. Pay closer attention to the width as it is very important with these shoes.

These AE shoes look great, true to size, and match well with either a business suit or jeans. The only complaint was that it took about a couple of weeks to break them in. But now after a couple of months of wearing them, they are super comfortable and look like they will last a while. I love them.

I usually wear an 8 1/2 in sneakers and ended up purchasing a 7D in these shoes. The quality is great and color was exactly like what the site shows. The shoes are a little stiff at first, but I suppose that's to be expected. They softened up after a few wears and are comfortable enough to wear all day.

Allen Edmonds calls this shoe an "oxford," but strictly speaking it's a derby (sometimes called a blücher). See the open lacing? Most people might not care about the difference, but some people do, and I don't think it's too much to ask for them to name their products correctly. They're not exactly a low-end manufacturer, after all.
