I was in the market for a nice Italian bit loafer, and these fit the bill perfectly.

While Allen Edmonds is known as a high-quality American shoemaker, these are indeed made in Italy with typical Bologna construction. Because they're Italian-made, I would recommend ordering a half-size down (I normally wear 11D and the 10.5D fits me perfectly with this shoe).

The quality is no less than I'd expect from Allen Edmonds, and they're very comfortable. I've gotten lots of compliments, mainly from people who assume they're Gucci (admittedly they closely resemble Gucci bit loafers).

Overall a great buy and a great value.
