Thank you for your feedback.
I have purchased Allen-Edmonds shoes in the past because they fit well, are long lasting and made in America.
They are supportive and not overly cushioned but very comfortable to wear.
The shoes appeared and fit as expected.

I have become a great fan of Allen Edmonds Shoes. My "ideal" size is 9C so I often have to settle for what I can find as American producers have moved off shore. While many were being made in Italy, the fit remained o.k. Shoes from India, Mexico and China have proved to be ill fitting and shoddy. Allen Edmonds carries a wide range of sizes and widths in many of their styles.
I purchased the Walden in a 9B and have found them to be a fantastic fit in a classic loafer style. The shoes are appropriately snug but not tight. They are supportive and not overly cushioned but very comfortable to wear. The construction and materials are superior to what you find in most products on the market. Best part is that they are American made and the customer service people @ Allen Edmonds have been very knowledgeable and helpful when I have had questions about their products. And I have found service from Amazon to be exceptional.

The shoe is well constructed and very nice looking. But the widths are not accurate. I wear an E in this brand and the couple other brands that I frequently purchase as well. The Walden in an E width is not a true E. Initially I thought that i had perhaps just gotten a pair that was mislabeled. I purchased another to compare. The second was same as first. I returned one pair and kept the other in the hopes that I could have them sufficiently stretched. Stretching didn't work and now I'm stuck with the shoe. It is far too narrow to be an E. I have two other recently purchased pair of Allen Edmonds shoes. One required a little stretching as my left foot is wider than the right. The other pair required no stretching at all. So why is the Walden particularly narrow, I have no idea.

If you're interested in the shoe, I would strongly recommend going a size up in width. Unfortunately for me, E is the widest in size 6.5.

I own several other pairs of Allen Edmonds - Park Avenues in 11D, Kenwoods in 11D, Meranos in 11D. All fit very well (though the Park Avenues are a tiny bit tight). After reading the reviews here, I ordered the Walden in 11E.

Even an 11E is too tight for me. I'm not sure how the sizing works on these, but it's not right. Would highly recommend trying them on somewhere before purchasing them.

Shoes are nice but run tight. Need to get E or EEE if you usually wear C or D width.

Well made, true to size. Quality looks and workmanship. I would gladly spend the extra $ again, quality costs less in the long run.

I have purchased Allen-Edmonds shoes in the past because they fit well, are long lasting and made in America. Also, I have utilized their restoration service and I can tell you the shoes come back looking brand new but still having that comfortable fit that you're used to.

Holy smokes, they are extremely STIFF. I do have shoe stretchers and it helps...some. I have to do it the old fashion way, keep wearing them. If there is a better way to stretch and soften these shoes, I like to know.

This is a nicely made shoe. The inside is leather covered and is quite comfortable and outside seems also well made. However, and as many others have noted, and this is a real serious defect, the width is way off. I take a D and finally had to wear a EEE width. For decades in all other manufacturers from probably dozens of countries a D is what I take. This shoe in a D is akin to a AAA! So beware, you are likely to go back and forth a few times. It seems that many others noted as such yet I figured I would try the D but it was instantly obvious that is would cut off any circulation to my feet. One wonders why they do this, especially for so expensive, relatively, a shoe.
