I've had most of my Allen Edmonds shoes for more than 10 years and they are still great. Sending them in for a total "refurbishment" costs more than half of the original price of the shoe though, so I just take them to the shoe shop for leather full soles. Anyway, they are the nicest shoes I have ever owned. I never wear my Cole Haans - the Allen Edmonds are so much more comfortable. If they last 15 years that is $20 per yr and every shoe shine guy will rave over your shoes.

Quality at its best, a prestigious shoe made for those who value quality and cares for what they wear. Expensive but worth its price.

I wear them for special occasions.

Allen Edmunds shoes are sooo comfortabale. I now own several pairs. They are well-made, and stylish. Allen Edmunds has a program where you can send your shoe back to them, once they are starting to show signs of wear, and they make the shoe new again. I am not sure how much they charge for this service, but it is available. So far, they have held up well. Highly recommended.

Just received a pair of Allen Edmonds Cody Loafers ordered from Amazon today. I bought my first pair a couple of years ago from Zappos. Loved the fit,finish and classic styling of my first pair. The pair I received today were so cheap looking as to look like counterfeits. Uneven leather color. Both were 8.5 D but everything about this new pair was different. Each of my old shoes weighed 1.2 pounds and the new ones were 1.0 pound a piece; the fit was not good. I hope these are counterfeits! If they are not, Allen Edmonds has really gone downhill. If I pay $350 for a pair of shoes, I expect $350 shoes. Sent them back today.
