I love the box weave on these shoes. When I heard that they were discontinued by Allen Edmonds, I bought 4 pair online. If you can find these shoes, get them before they're gone. Of any pair of shoes I've owned in my life, these are the only shoes I've worn where people have complimented me on how nice they are. I've had people come up to me at conferences and ask, where did you get those shoes, and those are the nicest shoes I've ever seen.

Allen Edmonds does have some other really classy box weave shoes. Also, Allen Edmonds will re-craft them for you, so if you rotate them out, you should have these for years.

I have a real affinity for one of the last American made shoe companies, so if you like a great shoe, you won't go wrong with these.

Excellent classic which should be re-introduced as a best seller for all the reasons expected in an exceptional dress shoe.

When my friends who walk on $800 Gucci and Louis Vuitton shoes saw these, they asked what were they. . . said these are a MUST have. . . said they look very American. So I told them, let's have Italian pasta and French wine but let me have Allen Edmonds shoes only. Fit, enduring style and the finest leather make these not just a pair of shoes; they are a piece of jewelry which I do not own; I keep it for the next generation.
