4.0 out of 5 stars Fixed My Postnasal Drip!
Had to change my review after receiving two different sets of pillowcases from Amazon from this same listing. The second time I ordered these (only about a month later), the pillowcases were different and of a lesser quality. I don't know if the company changed their design or if there was some sort of packaging mix-up; as far as I can remember, the packaging was the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Even Though They are Microfiber/Plastic
I bought these for a guest room where I often have children or friends with allergies sleeping. They are a little plastic/crinkly sounding but after you put on a pillowcase, it's not very noticeable. The fabric is smooth, similar to a fabric shower liner (not the obvious plastic kind but the more expensive fabric liner type). They are a snap to wash & dry and keep the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Even Though They are Microfiber/Plastic, September 27, 2010

They are a snap to wash & dry and keep the pillow clean from kid drool. They are not luxurious; they are utilitarian. They do keep your pillows clean and seem to be good for allergy sufferers. They are definitely nicer than the obvious plastic type - those are horrid.

These covers would be nice for traveling; easy to pack & easy on/off of hotel pillows. And could even do double duty as a laundry bag at the end of your trip.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fixed My Postnasal Drip!, March 14, 2011

The second time I ordered these (only about a month later), the pillowcases were different and of a lesser quality. I don't know if the company changed their design or if there was some sort of packaging mix-up; as far as I can remember, the packaging was the same. Still seems a decent value for the inexpensive price.

Here is my old review for reference:

I've had bad postnasal drip for several years. The doctor gave me nasal spray which didn't do much, and I started to suspect a dust mite allergy and decided to try these rather than fight my doctor for allergy tests or find a new doctor. I'm glad I did because now my nose is so much clearer in the morning and the pillowcases were a great value.

5.0 out of 5 stars Luxury at a reasonable price!, July 21, 2010

These are the BEST waterproof pillow protectors I have ever found. They have a tight-weave outer fabric that is as nice as luxury pillow cases. I have 15 little doggie beds in the house and all of them are encased in these zippered protectors and covered with towels. If they get stains in them, they wash right out and continue to look like new. The place I bought them is constantly out, so now I'm buying online so I have a set to use when the other set is being laundered. For me, they are worth every penny!

They Pillow Protectors are very nice with one small exception. I have 2 standard pillows & the covers are just a little too short but I was still able to push the pillow in & get it zipped.

It used to take me some time to clear my head each morning. Since using the pillow protectors I have noticed a significant improvement. I'm so glad I got them.

No crinkle noise, quality zipper, and no suffering in the morning. So many uses for these covers, even as a travel laundry bag as someone else had mentioned. Don't hesitate to buy; get 10 of them if you can, as you'll never regret it.

I have allergies that drive me crazy. I hate that I need pillow covers, but without them, I'm a mess at night. These aren't so bad - they feel as close to real fabric as possible, and after a couple of nights I didn't even notice them. I also sleep much better. I definitely recommend these.

I bought the AllerEase, Allersoft and Rest-right covers all at the same time so that I could compare them. Allersoft was a very nice contender...a bit softer actually but probably not as protective. Rest-right was not so good...actually yellow in color as if it was siting on a shelf for 10 years.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not very effective, and very plasticy, October 10, 2011

When shopping for pillow covers to help our son reduce a constant stuffy nose. We also bought a set of terry cloth covered pillow protectors to try out more than one type. We love the terry cloth ones, and don't particularly care for these.

The covers on these are straight plastic, which I think could be a suffocation hazard for children sleeping on them. They crinkle some when moved around. They also were not effective at keeping out water when we had a bunch of it spilled around the pillow (not dunked in water, but a significant quantity). Again, the terry cloth ones linked above did perfectly in the same conditions, and are much softer and quieter.

So if you are looking for pillow covers, do yourself the favor and spend just a bit more on the terry cloth covers and you'll be much happier.

Great pillow protector! Quiet and soft, yet waterproof and durable. Washes well and is a dream to sleep on. Has really helped with my hay fever. Highly recommended!
