Incredible wealth of information, September 18, 2003

This review is from: Allergy Bible: The Conventional and Alternative Guide to Understanding, Avoiding, and Treating Allergies (Hardcover)
The Allergy Bible answers any question you could possibly have about allergic reactions- types, causes, biochemistry (made relatively easy). Food allergies and intolerances, cross-reactivity, are very well explained. I have Celiac disease, and it is explained well. Elimination diets, the causes of aspirin sensitivity, a small section of recipes for people needing to avoid gluten, eggs, milk, or yeast are included. Alternative methods of treatment are explained, along with an evaluation of efficacy. It may be more technical than most would want, but if you've been looking for one resource which covers all the bases, this is it. (Note: the copy I read was published in 2001 and did not mention the new anti-IgE antibodies.)
