5.0 out of 5 stars A Reader, March 12, 2007
This review is from: Allergy Relief and Prevention: A Doctor's Complete Guide to Treatment and Self-Care (Paperback)
It's a very informative book. I like to reference it whenever I can to remind me of all the things to avoid. I have an older version of this book and this updated version really opened my eyes to alternative methods to helping me with my allergies. Although some of their methods may be unconventional to some, at least they give you all the options that are available to allergy suffers like me. The medicine that doctors give you only treat the symptoms they don't help you in the long run. This book reaches beyond the medical field into alternative methods that many people don't think about.
I didn't realize that corn was in so many things. It's in more items than wheat is. Anyone with wheat allergies know that it's hard to avoid. Corn is even harder to avoid, it's in almost every processed food item. This book lists all the items to look out for which contain corn, wheat, soy, ect. It's a must read for anyone wanting to learn more about allergies and what to expect.
