My son has a lot of allergies so I decided to replace our down comforter with this one. I wasn't sure about purchasing a comforter online without seeing it first, so I was a little skeptical. Turns out, it was a great purchase. It's lightweight, yet provides a lot of warmth, and you can toss it into your washing machine for cleaning. I would recommend this to others searching for a good down alternative comforter.

I bought this comforter because of the great reviews and price. Down comforters can be quite pricey and a bit much to deal with, especially during the summer time. With that being said, I thought that this specific comforter would fit the bill. The comforter is light weight, it is comfortable, and for the price appears to be well made. I thought everything was fine until I went to wash it.

When I removed it from the duvet cover, I found what seemed like thousands of fiber pieces everywhere. I am not sure what caused this, but I am sure it is not normal. It wasn't the common feather leakage you see with down comforters in general. It was much much worse. Now it won't stop shedding and these pieces are nearly impossible to remove. No matter how much you pick up, new ones show up.

I basically have 2 options: Put it back in the duvet cover and deal with this problem whenever I need to wash the cover, or simply throw it away. I think I have no choice but to choose the latter.

I highly recommend spending a few extra dollars for another product.

This is hands down the best comforter that I have ever owned. It is very warm(great for cooler climates),easy to clean(fits right in the washer), and so soft. I absolutely love this comforter!! I bought the Cal King for my King sized bed since the King sizes tend to run small and barely cover the bed. This comforter hangs right down to the bed skirt and is very lightweight. But don't let that fool you, it is quite warm(not recommended for warmer climates). It has a nice silky feel to it, very soft, yet a little slippery. That was the only drawback. Watch out when you sit on the edge of your bed because you could slide right off. I was surprised at how easy this is to clean. Fits right in the washer and dries very fast!! A great investment and I highly recommend buying.

I bought this mostly because of my dust mite allergies. Once I put this on my bed and took off my old one I didn't wake up with itchy eyes any longer. I had a few cold nights and I put an extra fluffy blanket on my bed, after a few days I noticed that I was again waking up with those itchy eyes, but as soon as I took it off, I'm waking up fresh again.

My only complaint is that it is very slippery and does slide around in the cover, but I'm a very restless sleeper.

This comforter is both light and plenty warm for our New Hampshire winters. It also has these neat little tabs sewn across the corners so they can be tied to the inside of the corners of a duvet cover. We bought a duvet cover from The Company Store that came with ties already in the inside of the corners. This is helpful for any comforter, but for this comforter it is really a necessity because of the comforter's slippery dust-mite-blocking fabric.

I bought this with hesitation, because it just couldn't be any good at such a low price, right?

Wrong! The comforter exceeds my expectations in every way. As far as size goes, it definitely fits my California King bed, and hangs over past the bottom of the mattress on each side. The comforter is fairly lightweight, but incredibly warm. It easily replaced my old comforter and my old matelasse bedspread combined, as far as warmth goes. I can't say how it will do over the long-term, but I've had it on my bed for several weeks and am very happy with it.

I've owned this comforter for a year now. I needed something that would make my sleep time in Iraq comfortable. This product was awesome! It's thick/fluffy but lightweight and it feels very luxurious. I can see where it wouldn't keep you completely warm if you slept outside or something, but I found it perfect for lower temps when you set the thermostat down at night. It has a VERY high quality feel and over the last year of use have only noticed slight shifting of insulation within the cells; nothing that some shaking/fluffing wouldn't fix. Highly recommended for the price. My Grandma came up to RI from FL to visit and loved it so much, she wants me to buy her one. Can't get a better endorsement than from Grandma!

Good quality for the price-these down alternative comforters are light to middle weight and work well for most of the year. I like the box stitching to keep the filling in place.

I really would give this comforter 4 1/2 stars if possible. Comforter is nice and "pillowy" without being too heavy. I love that the size is a little larger than other king size ones I have found, as it covers my over-size king bed nicely. I would have given 5 stars, but the material is a little "slick" feeling...not exactly like nylon, but not "cottony" either, which I prefer. I can make a cover for it, so it will work for me just fine. For the price, it is a great deal! I would buy again.

I do not have severe allergies in my apartment as it is a brand new construction with sealed concrete and in-unit HVAC with regular filter changes.

I purchased this quilt because I am averse to too much dust in my bedroom. Not only is this comforter lightweight, but it's down-replacement material keeps me quite warm.

Like the other reviewers mentioned, the cover is a cotton/polyester blend. Althought it does not feel exactly like your traditional all cotton cover, I can say I like the feel just as much because it's a bit slippery and cool [temperature wise].

Regardless, if you don't like the feel or look and just want it for the hypoallegernic properties, just purchase a duvet cover like Renaissance Collection 600 Thread Count Reversible Woven Stripe to Solid Cotton Full/Queen Duvet Set, White
