I bought this product to see if it would help with my husband's allergies, which have always been severe. It really works! It's also easy to use. Just make sure you reapply it weekly and to always precede the application with a good brushing or de-shedding session (I like to use the FURminator).

One bit of advice: rather than use a washcloth, I would recommend using one of those soft terrycloth bath mitts that you are sold at drugstores. Another alternative might be a lightweight cotton glove or mitten. Washcloths are too big and floppy, and my cat doesn't like the floppiness at all. A terrycloth bath mitt conforms nicely to your hand, and it won't flop around the cat's body.

This is the only thing I've found that actually works. I used to take Benadryl like there was no tomorrow and was considering having to give up our cat, but Allerpet C was easy to apply, and I could have the cat in my face with no reaction whatsoever. If you are a cat lover who has allergies, I highly recommend this.

I love AllerpetC. It gives me my life back after I've been exposed to someone's cat or just the cat's dander. If I've been over to a friend's house I am able to make sure that any dander I may have carried into my car or my home upon my return is denatured. Once treated with AllerpetC, my car and any part of my home I walked through on my way to the laundry area, are safe once again. I no longer have to suffer for days afterward. If my friends with cats visit, I no longer have to limit them to the wood chairs instead of the upholstered furniture. After they leave I can simply moisten a towel with a little AllerpetC then rub the upholstery down and it is safe for me again! I love it! I am very, very sensitive to cat dander. I love the little furballs, but I cannot be around them or around their owners without suffering quite a lot. So AllerpetC is an absolute necessity in my home.

Just to be on the safe side I use this solution on my cat twice a week. I am severely allergic to cats. Allerpet C works great at neutralizing the pet dander so I can enjoy holding and loving my cat with out worrying. I still wash my hands and face after touching my cat. But I know this makes it all much more tolerable. She is a long haired cat. Allerpet C and combing her is a great way to control the dander and stray cat hair.
