Great for those who love cats but can't get near em,

I am deathly allergic to cats, yet my kid wanted a pet. We tried Allerpet C on our kitten based on the recomendation of a vet. It works perfectly. Just wash the cat once a week using a towel and a little solution and 90% of the problem is gone.

Sneeze No More,
By So, when we decided that my mother, who is now elderly and lives in another state, adopt two cats to keep her company, I had to find a product that would alleviate my cat allergy symptoms, or face being miserable during every Thanksgiving and Christmas (ho, ho, ho). So, when I found Allerpet online, and read the glowing reviews, I had two bottles shipped to my mom to apply to the cats (after thoroughly brushing them and having the house vacuumed). She said application was a cinch. Allerpet is an amazing product. It works like a charm. As a precation, I did take antihistimines, but they were probably not even needed. During my stay, Mom applied Allerpet to the cats every other day or so. Thanks to Allerpet, I was able to enjoy the holidays, and my mom's two beautiful cats, without unpleasant allergy symptoms. I would recommend Allerpet For People That Are Allergic To Cats to anyone! Thank you Allerpet!

This product really works - hallelujah!
To apply it, I pour a few tablespoons of it into a pyrex dish, and microwave it for maybe 10 seconds, until quite warm. I then dip a washcloth into it, which cools it a bit more. The cloth is wet but not dripping. When I rub it on my cat (after getting a good grip on the scruff of his neck), he's not aware of being damp at first, because a very warm wet cloth doesn't make him feel cold during the initial contact. Because my applying it this way is much less unpleasant for him, it's much less unpleasant for me!

We have six cats. Our two daughters have allergic reactions to them from time to time, especially to one of them. I found that rubbing this into his fur about once a week (especially the hind quarters "all parts") helps tremendously to eliminate the allergic reactions. If I do forget to bathe him, I can tell when he needs to be bathed again because my daughter will hug him and a hive will start to appear. She gets Benadryl and he gets the Allerpet bath. The hives go away and don't return for weeks. I don't have to use it on the other cats as often as our one boy, so I save on the cost. Buy in bulk and it makes it easier. (We also have two special air filtration systems (RabbitAir) in our house and a Dyson vacuum for the hair / dander to keep allergens down.

My roommate is allergic to cats, and so it was with much reservation that I adopted a stray kitten. At first the roommate seemed fine, but as the kitten grew older and started grooming, the roommate's symptoms started flaring up. After trying various air filters and kitten baths with little effect, I researched the root cause of allergies, and found this product. It's an odorless and non-toxic solution that deactivates the protein that causes allergies.
The instructions suggest applying the product to a towel and wiping down kitty's fur, but I'd skip the towel completely. Instead, dampen your hands with about a half-teaspoon of solution and apply it to the fur directly. Clean any loose hairs off your hands and repeat until the cat is either slightly damp or thoroughly annoyed. I did it this way because she dislikes towels (prob a residual effect from the baths) and it wastes less product. I'm happy to report that it definitely works as advertised. After several applications, the roommate's symptoms are completely gone. The roommate's happy, kitty is indifferent, and I'm happy that I won't need to subsidize a prescription of claritin.

I'm allergic to cats, but I only discovered that when I found two kittens on the side of a road and adopted them. I've developed a weekly routine with a Furminator followed by this Allerpet solution that alleviates most of my allergic reaction. (Now that it's summer, I have to furminate them twice a week to survive.)
I first use the FURminator deShedding Tool for Cats, 1.75-Inch Edge on both of my cats, which removes a crazy quantity of hair and practically prevents them from shedding. I then douse a towel in Allerpet solution and use it on them, which washes out the allergens from the hair they have left. This routine seems to almost eliminate my allergic reactions, although I do still occasionally get the sniffles or irritated eyes. I'd highly recommend this product.

Allerpet is amazing! My 3 year old has been pining for a kitten ever since he could speak, and 2 months ago we finally got him one---only to have his eyes swell shut in allergic reaction within an hour of touching the cat. We were all devastated, thinking we would have to get rid of the sweet little kitten, when a friend sent me a link to this very page of reviews. I got some Allerpet right away, and my son's reactions stopped. We have been treating the kitten once a week with Allerpet and have not had a single problem with allergies. She even sleeps on the bed with him now, with not a single problem. It's hard to believe that a simple, affordable, easy-to-use product could make your life *this* much easier, but it is so. When you read these reviews saying how great it is, you might be a little bit skeptical. I know I was. But every thing the reviews say is 100% true. Allerpet really does work!

A wipedown with water only works for me,

Just a wipedown with a towel wet with water every 2 to 3 days works for me.
I bought this product but was hesitant to use it since I don't like the idea of using a strange chemical on her. I decided to try wiping my cat with a towel wet with water every couple days. Amazingly it works, I had really extreme amounts of sneezing and runny nose to the point that I couldn't hear myself think before trying this. I guess the main allergens only build up after a few days of her licking herself. So I just thought I'd share my home remedy for anyone willing to try it. Let me know how it goes for you.

Saved my Kitty,

Through various circumstances I found myself taking in a friend's cat. I knew I had allergies but I wanted to give it a try and if it didn't work out I was going to search for another owner. The first week was very bad and it looked like it wasn't going to work out. I asked an allergist if anything could be done and I was told to get rid of the cat. I bought a HEPA filtered air purifier and vacuum but they didn't work too well. So then through my research I come across the Allerpet spray. Little did I know that what I am actually allergic to is the protein FEL D1. This little nasty allergen is secreted through the cat's skin and saliva. When the cat licks itself it gets the protein on the coat and dries. When it dries it can become air borne and gets everywhere. So you really want to get to the source which is the cat's skin and coat. If used properly Allerpet gets rid of the protein by fifty percent. That is enough so my allergy threshold isn't surpassed and I don't break out. However since we all have different sensitivities it may not be enough for you. That's why I am not giving it five stars. Never the less I strongly recommend this product. Remember that allergens are cumulative so keep your house spotless and brush the cat every day along with using Allerpet.

My boyfriend is allergic to cats but loves them. I have several. Now that I'm using Allerpet, he is no longer sneezing, blowing his nose and wiping his eyes at my house. He gets to cuddle everyone as much as he wants to. This is wonderful!
