Editorial Reviews

Night Marchers consist of three quarters of Hot Snakes John Reis (Rocket From the Crypt, Drive Like Jehu, Sultans), Gar Wood (Beehive and the Barracudas, Tanner) and Jason Sinclair (Delta 72, Mule, Bardo Pond) accompanied by Thomas Kitsos (previously of Montreal rock n roll destructionists CPC Gangbangs). They sound remotely like the combination of the aforementioned acts. This is their second record.

Great album, if you like any of the previous projects of John Reis (Hot Snakes, Rocket From the Crypt, Back Off Cupids, Drive Like Jehu, Pitchfork, etc...) you are sure to like this.

It is worth downloading alone for Fisting the Fan Base!

Welding the raw, simmering sensuality of a young Bill Wyman with the virtuostic ferocity of Nikki Sixx and the sensitivity of Bret Michaels, the Night Marchers have crafted a smoldering bowl of hot rock and roll that will leave you sweaty and mildly uncomfortable. But then it will be over you'll be like, "hey, I want to feel that way again!" so you'll play it some more and then it'll be like "whoa, I need to pace myself; I better cool down with some Dave Matthews" and then you'll regret it a lot and it'll be time for the Night Marchers again and you'll clap. A lot.

Better then the first Night Marchers album! If you like any of "Swami" John Reis stuff (RFTC, HOT SNAKES, ect.), this will not let you down. And don't forget to crank it to 11.

I challenge anyone to not get carried away by the uncontrollable rocking. 'I Wear the Horns' is powered by a giant cayenne pepper shoved up it's ass in a manner that would impress Bo Diddly himself. 'Wasting Away in Javalinaville' is a killer thumb in the face to San Diego elitists & touches on immigration issues. 'Fisting the Fans' is a skanky anthem to the club scene and music biz. This album takes off from the needle drop and carries you through both sides. There are no weak sauce tracks on this 12". I look forward to buying my next Night Marchers LP.

About half of this album is immediately dynamite. The rest I'll grow into. That's how good music works.

If you ever wanted to know what the ultimate rockers sounded like, these guys are just about it. Nothing obtuse or screechy or noisy and nothing really wimpy or lame. Just stuff that really digs in and kicks ass.
