This 159-piece set by Allied contains a full complement of hand tools and offers everything you'll need to tackle common tasks from assembling furniture and installing light fixtures to tinkering with small appliances. Fitted into the compact case are five wrench sets, a socket set, an adjustable wrench, a driver set, pliers, a crimper/stripper, an electrical tester, a tire-pressure gauge, and more. All the tools are built to last. The wrenches are well designed, and the pliers, snips, and crimper have padded rubber grips. Keep in mind, however, that while this is a terrific household tool set, the tools are designed for small projects. The wrenches, in other words, while perfect for putting together a bookcase, aren't large enough to handle the nuts and bolts on a backyard swing set. You really get...what you pay for you can expect to get the same quality for the price you're paying. I must admit, I only grabbed the opportunity to purchase this since I'm using a $50 Amazon Gift Certificate. Otherwise, I would have purchased separate, good quality tools, rather than a toolkit with mediocre quality.

Like the other reviewer said, the stamped wrenches pictured behind the adjustable wrench is really, really cheesy. Same goes for the tire guage. Typical 'made in china' products.

I believe the toolkit would survive home use, but I think it would not survive the rigors and abuse that tools go through when using them for automotive repair tasks. The wrenches are only forged steel and not chrome vanadium, which is the material of choice for wrenches.

Plus points for this product would be the inclusion of both metric and SAE, and also the bundle of different tools for the price.

Minus points go to the stamped mini-wrenches, small flathead and philpps screwdriver and tire guage. Also, the package comes with some greasy anti-corrosion lubricant which spread throughout the toolkit.

I wanted a tool kit to have around the house and believe me, this one is that and a whole lot more. I'm sure it has more things than you would use in one lifetime. Awesome value.

This is really the one to get for home and Auto use...I found it very helpful to carry with me on long trips.
