On June 27 I purchased an "Allied Precision Deluxe Birdbath" (sounds pretty fancy huh?) from "Picnic World Plus" through the Amazon website. I paid $22.59 for the birdbath and $31.48 for S&H, a total of $54.07. I searched for the weight of the birdbath to no avail, however I thought at that price it must be heavy - maybe made out of resin. Much to my surprise when it arrived it was plastic and weighed less than five pounds. I sent "Picnic World Plus" an e-mail expressing my disappointment. They sent me a formal e-mail telling me to return it. If I return it I have to pay more S&H. I can't win. So for what it's worth I'm putting this review out there so others won't make the same mistake I did. Oh, further, when the birdbath arrived I did some research online and found out Allied Precision Deluxe Birdbath states the birdbath weighs 55 pounds. I wonder if "Picnic World Plus" knows that. Apparently not!

Dinted??? Your guess is as good as mine.
That's what the instructions say about the bottom of the base. An Asian misinterpretation for INDENTED?? The instructions say not to worry. The bottom which is NOT FLAT will correct itself when you fill it with sand. The instructions do NOT say how much sand you will need. It will take a little more than a half cubic foot bag of sand.
THE REAL PROBLEM
Sand does NOT correct the misshapen bottom. The sand filled birdbath remains wobbly, even on a perfectly flat concrete slab.
DINTED and FLIMSY
Even with sand and on a stable location, the whole bird bath lacks sturdiness. The top is held onto the base with 3 small screws. The top looks decent but the basin and collar that screws to the base is flimsy. The basin wobbles on the base with any pressure at all.
RECOMMENDATION:
Look elsewhere if you want a sturdy quality bird bath that will last.
DINTED must really mean you get what you pay for!!

Just what I was looking for. Needed a birdbath for the winter as I use a heater. seems to be pretty sturdy. Looks like stone from a distance. Will see how it holds up to our winters here along Lake Michigan in Muskegon,Mi.
