This is a great product that does exactly what it says it does. At dusk, right on cue, it begins to shine a beautiful array of colors that delights me and my 6 year old daughter. During the day, it causes all kinds of ripples that attract more birds and keeps mosquitoes from laying eggs in the water. The only complaint is that it is so big that it does not leave much room for the birds to take a bath in my little bird bath. Hopefully, I can get a bigger bath soon and then it will be perfect!

Don't know if I missed it somewhere, but this thing is rather large, requiring two D cell batteries and a flat or concave bottomed birdbath. The birdbath I got my wife for Valentine's Day is shaped like a flower, complete with a raised "pollen button" center that keeps the unit from operating. I will have to alter the feet to make it sit higher so that the "beater" won't hit the bottom.

My wife loves the slowly changing colors (for three hours after dusk btw) and the way it keeps the water moving without making any racket.

Before I purchased this, I asked the maker if they could tweak it for me such that it emits a white light instead of the default multi-color patterns at night. They said no. I got it any way as this one looks the most high-tech & not cheap. The ever-changing multi-color LED wasn't as annoying or tacky as I imagined but still, I prefer just a white light or even no light. Within 1 week of use, its LED no longer turns itself on at night, I'm so happy now, no more tacky 'light show' that wastes precious battery life! You may ask why didn't I get the most basic white plastic model from the beginning? Well, that one is so cheap-looking. Any way, everything works as described except the LED issue.

I had purchased one of these as a gift and when I went to get another one I could not find one. I searched everywhere but could not find the water wiggler that lit up at night. After searching online I found this and we have been more than happy with it.

Okay, this thing is pretty awesome.

I had a similar version (it had a green top and did not light up), but it eventually failed so I was in the market for a new one. I came across this and saw that it lit up, thought it might look neat so I took the plunge.

It only takes two batteries, so I plugged them in, set it in the bird bath and waited until dusk. Wow! The color that comes out of this thing - it's pretty bright! It's not something that'll keep you awake at night or anything like that, but it's not some dim little LED either.

The colors rotate every few seconds - it has a variety of them, green, blue, red-ish/pink, purple. It's like a little lit up runway for birds in the evening. Also helps keep the birdbath cleaner and free of any nasty bugs who like the stagnant water. Great buy!

Before purchasing I read most of the reviews and was a little apprehensive but after unpacking and installing I know I made the right choice. My bird bath is fairly small but very special to me. It's a concrete cat laying on its back, paws up - where the belly would be is the bird bath. The wiggler is fairly large (oh well, 2 D batteries, what do you expect?) but it looks as if the cat is playing with a ball. In the evening the changing colors look awesome with the flowers on my patio and I love relaxing in my glider, slowing down and admiring how beautiful our world is. The wiggler is continuous functioning unless the base is uneven. The lights turn off after about 3 hours; just enough time to enjoy without being bothersome.

I've had this in my birdbath for a few weeks now and it is still working fine, light and all. I wish the wiggler stem was just a bit shorter than the legs. The bottom of my bowl is uneven and I have to off center the unit to allow the wiggler ground clearance. I also would like a single light color option, and I think the timer should be set for 4-6 hours after turn on. Finally, a smaller design would be nice. I was worried at first that the unit was scaring off the birds, but I watched a mourning dove take a nice drink yesterday, so all's good.

I had to replace my existing "wiggler" and decided to get something different. I am truly entertained at night sitting in my screen-house and watching this device slowly change from one brilliant color to another. It reminds of another era when lava lamps were so captivating. Also, with this model you simply screw off the top (no screwdriver needed) to replace the batteries. I will buy one as a gift.

I love this and so do the birds. Since I've had it I've noticed quite a few more birds comming down for a drink. And the best part is in the evening when the rotating colored light comes on. I have so much fun sitting outside and watching the birds.
