Synopsis: In a battle for college football?s ultimate prize, the Ohio State Buckeyes (11-1, 7-1 BIG 10) return to the Allstate National Championship Game for the second consecutive year to play against the Louisiana State Tigers (11-2, 7-1 SEC). The Buckeyes claimed the Big 10 Title for the second straight year, winning the title outright with a 14-3 victory over rival Michigan in the regular season. The Tigers, after defeating Tennessee to clinch the SEC championship, play for the BCS National Championship for the second time in four years after claiming the 2004 title with a 21-14 win over Oklahoma.
